On February 28 – for the first time ever – LMA members from Buffalo and Rochester got together for a networking lunch. The turnout was phenomenal, out of 33 people registered, 31 people attended the event (and there were a few walk-ins, which was graciously hosted by Hodgson Ross. Several members drove 75 minutes from Rochester to attend the event to meet their colleagues.
With no fixed programming agenda, the group was free to circulate around the room and make introductions, fostering new relationships and strengthening old connections. There was a strong positive vibe and multiple people from the group commented, “I’m so glad we are finally doing this.” Some other comments included, “I’ve always wanted to have an LMA group here.” And, of course, “Wow these cookies are good!”
LMA Northeast Region Board member Matt Parfitt traveled from NYC to the event to meet members from the Buffalo/Rochester area. The group is already planning its next events: an outside speaker will be featured at the next one and future events will also be held in Rochester based on the success of this one.
Thank you again to our generous host Hodgson Ross.
