She has been in the professional services industry for much of her 20 year career, most recently as CMO at Bowman Consulting, an engineering consulting firm, and prior to that, Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at the Washington, DC-based law firm Dickstein Shapiro. A longtime member of the Legal Marketing Association, Diana served on the LMA Capital Chapter board from 2008-2011, serving as President of the Chapter in 2010. She was co-chair of the LMA Governance Committee in 2012-13, and is now serving as co-chair of the Small Firm/Solo Marketer SIG.
Diana is based in Washington, DC, where she has been since receiving her BA in Communications at The George Washington University. When she’s not working, Diana enjoys traveling and riding roller coasters with her family.
Craig Courter is Baker McKenzie's Global Chief Operating Officer and was instrumental in the development of the Firm's pioneering shared services centers in Manila and in Belfast. He previously served as the Firm's Chief Technology Officer. Nathalie Daum is the Regional Director of Business Development & Marketing at Dickinson Wright PLLC. Dickinson Wright has over 425 attorneys in 17 offices across the U.S. and Canada. Timothy Delaney is the Chief Marketing Officer of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC). Michelle Friends is a Regional Business Development Manager for Jackson Lewis. Michelle manages the firm’s west coast offices, and assists attorneys with all their business development needs. Nancy Furman Paul
Nancy Furman Paul is the Commercial Product Manager for Bloomberg Law Business Solutions at Bloomberg BNA. In her role, she oversees, develops and implements business development products and strategy. She is also responsible for all news and company and markets intelligence on Bloomberg Law.
Prior to joining Bloomberg BNA, Nancy practiced corporate law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York, and then at Wilmer, Cutler, Pickering, Hale & Dorr in Washington, D.C. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.A. from Yale University.

April Gallagher, Global Head Strategic Marketing, Orrick, has over 25 years of industry experience. In her role at Orrick she directs marketing and business development initiatives for the 1000 lawyer firm across its 25 global offices. She oversees the 50 member marketing department with a focus on increasing efficiency and establishing processes that will lead to tangible business results.
April leverages her international experience gained from consulting for Bain & Company in Boston, Paris, Moscow and San Francisco. She went on to build a career in new business development across education firms. She launched BerlitzKids – a global language business for Berlitz, developed the K12 education sector for Rosetta Stone and the global programming and enrollment programs for Avenues: the World School. April has led marketing, sales, product development and finance teams in high growth ventures by focusing (relentlessly!) on the client experience.

Dennis Garcia is an Assistant General Counsel for Microsoft based in Chicago. Elizabeth S. Gooch
Liz is the Director of Business Development for Arent Fox, where she leads strategic business development and planning initiatives for the transactional and regulatory practices and sharpens the firm’s client service through firmwide BD training, competitive intelligence research, client feedback interviews, and affinity group initiatives. Margaret Hagan is the Director of the Legal Design Lab and a lecturer at Stanford Institute of Design (the d.school). She was a fellow at the d.school from 2013-2014, where she launched the Program for Legal Tech & Design, experimenting in how design can make legal services more usable, useful & engaging. She teaches a series of project-based classes, with interdisciplinary student groups tackling legal challenges through user-focused research and design of new legal products and services. She also leads workshops to train legal professionals in the design process, to produce client-focused innovation. Margaret graduated from Stanford Law School in June 2013. She served as a student fellow at the Center for Internet & Society and president of the Stanford Law and Technology Association. While a student, she built the game app Law Dojo to make studying for law school classes more interactive & engaging. She also started the blog Open Law Lab to document legal innovation and design work. Margaret holds an AB from the University of Chicago, an MA from Central European University in Budapest, and a PhD from Queen’s University Belfast in International Politics. She is originally from Pittsburgh.
Angus M. Haig
Angus Haig is currently International General Counsel - Asia Pacific for The Coca-Cola Company based in Atlanta, Georgia, having recently relocated back from Tokyo, Japan.
Mr. Haig began his career in Adelaide, South Australia, where he was born. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree and his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Adelaide.
After working since 1994 as an Associate to a Supreme Court Judge then as a solicitor in Adelaide for several years he moved to Sydney, Australia and joined Coca-Cola in 1998 as Division Marketing Counsel for Coca-Cola South Pacific. In 2001 he completed a short term assignment in Shanghai, China, and upon return to Australia was promoted to Region Counsel for Coca-Cola Australia. Shortly thereafter he moved to London for three years as Group Marketing Counsel for Coca-Cola Europe, Eurasia, and Middle East before moving back to Sydney to become Division Counsel for Coca-Cola South Pacific and Korea.
In 2007, Mr. Haig moved from Australia to Atlanta as Senior Managing Counsel of Global Marketing for The Coca-Cola Company based in Atlanta, until December 2013 when Mr Haig was appointed as General Counsel Asia Pacific Group and General Counsel Japan and relocated to Tokyo Japan.
Steven is a member of the Cisco Legal executive management team where he manages the Legal Technology Solutions (“LTS”); Global Export Trade (“GET”) teams; the global process for Trademarks and Corporate Marketing, and the Global Center of Excellence – an industry-leading example of the use of “captive Legal Process Outsourcing.” The LTS team is chartered with developing and maintaining systems and process that support the efficiency and accuracy of legal functions at Cisco. These systems and processes include contract management, export compliance tools, regulatory compliance, legal knowledge management, web-based resources, and file room operations. The GET team is responsible for expediting Cisco’s worldwide trade by ensuring global compliance with global export rules and regulations.
Steven holds a B.S. degree in Business Management (Information Systems emphasis) and a J.D. degree, both from Brigham Young University.
Shawn M. Harpen
Shawn M. Harpen is Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of Patrón Spirits International AG, headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, and The Patrón Spirits Company, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Before joining Patrón, she was a partner in the law firm of Jones Day, resident in the Irvine office, where her practice focused on complex commercial and shareholder litigation, as well as corporate governance.
Ms. Harpen, a prior Chair of the State Bar of California’s Standing Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct, currently serves as a member of the State Bar of Nevada’s Standing Committee on Professional Responsibility and Ethics, and as a member of the Professionalism and Ethics Committee of the Orange County Bar Association.
In addition, Ms. Harpen is member of the RAND Institute for Civil Justice Southern California 50 Leadership Council and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, and has been appointed to the Local Rules Advisory Committee for the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Ms. Harpen has been a speaker and contributing author for various programs on corporate compliance, securities litigation, professional responsibility and ethics. She is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Central, Southern and Northern Districts of California and the Eastern District of Michigan, and is certified to practice in Nevada as in -house counsel.
Ms. Harpen received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from The University of Toledo College of Arts & Sciences in 1990. In 1998, Ms. Harpen received her juris doctor, magna cum laude,from The University of Toledo College of Law.
Erin W. Hawk
Erin is the Chief Business Development Officer for Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP’s Ohio offices, where she advises firm management on strategic growth issues, develops sales and business development strategies to drive revenue and trains and coaches attorneys on an individual and group basis. As a service-minded executive and client evangelist with more than 20 years of legal marketing and business development experience, Erin is skilled at balancing strategic goals and objectives with detailed implementation and has implemented innovative approaches to drive attorney accountability and collaboration.
Erin has managed teams across numerous initiatives, including media relations, advertising development, event management, social media marketing, website development and content generation.

Anne Heathcock joined Winston & Strawn in 1994 and currently serves as the firm’s Managing Director for Marketing. In this role, she works directly with firm leadership in implementing strategic marketing and sales objectives. She oversees the marketing communications and marketing technology teams on efforts such as the firm’s website, digital media activities, business intelligence gathering, InterAction, and graphic design services. William E. Hornsby
Will Hornsby is counsel in the American Bar Association's Division for Legal Services, where he provides staff support for the Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services and the Commission on the Future of Legal Services. Will has written several articles on technology and legal ethics for publications such as the National Law Journal, the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and the ABA Law Practice Management magazine. He is a chair of the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission Hearing Panel, an adjunct faculty member of the Chicago-Kent College of Law School, and a fellow of the College of Law Practice Management.
Richard Hosley serves as the Vice President, Office of Special Counsel and Associate General Counsel at DaVita Healthcare Partners.
Before joining DaVita Healthcare Partners, Rick was a litigation partner at Hogan Lovells. Rick served eight years as an Assistant United States Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and was the Chief of the Major Crimes Section for the United States Attorney's Office in Denver, Colorado. As Major Crimes Chief, Rick supervised a team of DOJ trial attorneys, lead hundreds of investigations, and provided advice and counsel to federal law enforcement agencies including the FBI, Secret Service, DEA, ATF, Homeland Security, and others. In 2013, Rick was awarded the Department of Justice Director’s Award for excellence in litigation. In 2014, Rick received the District of Colorado’s U.S. Attorney's Award for Excellence.
Prior to his time at the Department of Justice, Rick was a prosecutor for the State of Colorado, and a military judge advocate and officer for the United States Marine Corps. While a Marine lawyer, Rick served as a trial counsel and courtroom attorney, and deployed to the Al Anbar Province in Iraq as the legal advisor to an infantry battalion of more than 1,000 Marines.
Kenneth Imo is the firmwide director of diversity and inclusion (D&I) for Morgan Lewis. In this capacity, Kenneth works closely with firm leaders to ensure that D&I plays a central role in client engagement and in the recruitment, career development, retention, and advancement of lawyers of all seniority levels.

Jim Jarrell is Director of Marketing and Practice Development for Stark & Stark, a regional law firm based in New Jersey with just over 100 attorneys. In his current role, Jim is responsible for leading a team of six legal marketers in the planning, management, and implementation of firmwide marketing and business development initiatives. He has spent most of his 20 year career in marketing and business development for professional services firms, including stints in financial services, management consulting, engineering, and legal. Christopher Javillonar is General Counsel for Permobil, Inc. and its various subsidiaries. Permobil is a world leader in complex rehabilitation mobility solutions and operates in more than 70 countries around the world. Javillonar oversees the legal affairs of Permobil in North America, South America and Australia and the global legal affairs for two of its subsidiaries. He also oversees the Government Affairs department and acts as Group Privacy Officer. Prior to joining Permobil, Javillonar was a Partner in the Kansas City office of Bryan Cave, where he practiced commercial litigation in the areas of complex business litigation, white collar and securities litigation, class action defense, officer and director liabilities, trademark enforcement and healthcare litigation. Marcia Jeffers, Chief Marketing Officer of Sills Cummis & Gross, is responsible for all aspects of the Firm's marketing and business development. She also served as Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Cleary Gottlieb. Before joining the Firm, Ms. Jeffers practiced tax and securities law in relation to a family of mutual funds and served as Vice President of Development and General Counsel for The New England Council, one of the country's oldest non-profit regional lobbying organizations. Following that, she became Executive Vice President and General Counsel of DynaSol, a multi-million dollar manufacturing corporation. Her communications skills were put into play when she became Director of Advertising and Corporate Communications for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Iris Jones joined McNees in early 2015 and serves as its Chief Business Development & Marketing Officer. Barbara Joseph is the Marketing and Client Services Director at Bowles Rice LLP, a regional law firm with 125 attorneys and seven offices in West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Barbara has more than 35 years of experience in marketing, public relations and advertising, but when she joined Bowles Rice in 2007, it was her first foray into the world of legal marketing. Her previous experience included heading the advertising department of one of the state’s largest advertising and public relations firms, community outreach for a statewide healthcare initiative and private consulting for a wide range of local and regional clients.
At Bowles Rice, her responsibilities include strategic planning and budgeting for all firm and practice area marketing; coordination of business development activities; and oversight of the firm's external and internal marketing and communications, including the award-winning Views & Visions magazine.
A native of Michigan, Barbara graduated with high honors from Michigan State University’s College of Communication Arts in 1977. She worked for a small newspaper in a picturesque town on Lake Michigan before relocating to West Virginia in 1979. As a volunteer grant writer, she has secured more than $500,000 for school-based art and technology education programs.
Bill Josten is the Senior Legal Industry Analyst for the Thomson Reuters Legal Executive Institute, consulting with Large and Medium law firms nationwide on strategies regarding pricing, profitability, change management, and cost recovery. Bill has worked with over 500 firms nationally over the course of the last few years to help them develop strategies to address these areas. Bill has also worked with large law firms as a National Account Representative and as a Reference Attorney. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Mr. Josten was an attorney practicing in criminal defense and general civil litigation. Bill was previously an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has clerked at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
Robert A. Kahn
Rob Kahn is the Chief Marketing Officer at Fenwick & West, a law firm focusing on the needs of technology and life sciences companies.
As part of the firm’s administrative leadership, Rob is responsible for developing and implementing marketing, communications, research, business development and client service functions that increase awareness of the firm and allow Fenwick attorneys to build and maintain strong practices. In this role she works with Firm leadership and lawyers to develop and implement strategy around client development, marketing, communications, and media relations.
Prior to joining Jones Day in 2016, Despina served as chief business development & marketing officer at Morgan Lewis for three years and was chief marketing officer at Latham & Watkins for nine years. While at Morgan Lewis she was instrumental in setting the strategic direction and overseeing the operational implementation of the firm's client development, marketing, and communications programs. During this time she led the firm's re-branding and website projects. The firm received numerous industry recognitions for these projects, including winner of the People's Choice Award as part of Sitecore's 2015 Experience Awards in North America.
At the start of her career, Despina worked in print and broadcast media for the ABC affiliate TV station in Toledo, Ohio and for the Associated Press in New York. She began her legal career as a litigation paralegal at Thompson Hine, where she transitioned into litigation support/e-discovery and published two books on the subject. She later worked as an assistant IT director for Cravath, Swaine & Moore and moved into business development and sales for two companies that provide outsourcing services to law firms and professional service firms. She is also coauthor of Building Rainmakers: The Definitive Guide to Business Development for Lawyers.
Despina is a Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management. She is a member of LMA (Legal Marketing Association) and winner of the Susan Benjamin Legacy Award from the Metro New York LMA chapter, which is a lifetime achievement award given to a long-standing member who has left a distinguishable mark on the chapter. She is also a frequent moderator and panelist at legal marketing conferences.
Despina leads a monthly outreach program serving food and providing clothing and toiletries to the homeless on the streets of Manhattan, which has served more than 10,000 individuals.
Jennifer P. Keller
Jennifer P. Keller is president and chief operating officer of the Firm. She is a former member of the Firm's board of directors and former chair of the Firm's nationally-recognized Labor & Employment Department. As an employment litigator, Ms. Keller advises clients on a wide variety of issues, including discipline and terminations, benefits issues, leave, disability accommodation, policy formulation and enforcement and similar matters. A substantial part of her practice is providing training for employers in the areas of harassment and discrimination prevention, drug-free workplace, union avoidance and other employment law issues. Ms. Keller also has extensive appellate experience including the briefing and argument of appeals before various state and federal appellate courts.
Licensed in Tennessee and North Carolina, Ms. Keller regularly practices in both state and federal courts in those states. She also regularly appears before various administrative agencies, including the Department of Labor, EEOC, Tennessee Human Rights Commission and NLRB. She has significant experience in mediating, arbitrating, and litigating claims based on the Civil Rights Acts, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRA, ERISA, state workers' compensation laws and state-specific employment laws.
Koree Khongphand-Buckman is the Regional Head of Business Management, Americas at Hogan Lovells. In her dual role, Koree leads the marketing and business development team for the U.S. regional offices and guides the Regional Managing Partner for the Americas in his leadership role managing 14 of the 18 North American offices. Koree provide support in all aspects of business management; ensuring that the strategy, plans, structures, and financial performance of the offices and regions are in place and aligned with the firm's strategic goals; and delivering initiatives to drive forward the business. Prior to her career in legal marketing, she worked for two accounting firms. Koree served the Legal Marketing Association, Rocky Mountain Chapter from 2006-2011 and 2014, as a member-at-large, program committee member, President-elect, President, and Immediate Past President.

Gail relocated from New England in 2007 to join Henderson Franklin in sunny Southwest Florida. Douglas Lancet is global director of litigation practice development for Winston & Strawn, where he works closely with firm and department leadership to identify and implement strategic growth initiatives for the firm’s 450+-attorney litigation practice. Helena Lawrence took the road less traveled and it led her to a career in client service, business development, and project management in Washington, DC. As an UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA, and PMP, Helena has extensive experience in strategic planning, client service, business development, project management, and marketing and communications for legal, consulting, government, high-technology and non-profit industries. Helena is the President of the LMA Mid-Atlantic Region Board of Directors.
Currently, Helena is the Senior Marketing & Business Development Manager for Orrick’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Group. She provides thought leadership, strategic guidance and recommendations for client service, business development, sales, practice and marketing initiatives. Before joining Orrick, Helena worked at two prestigious law firms. Susan Letterman White

Trish Lilley is chief marketing officer of Fox Rothschild LLP, an AmLaw 100 firm with 750 attorneys in 22 offices. She has worked with, for, and around lawyers for nearly 30 years – as a journalist covering the federal courts, a legal recruiter and a bar association executive. Since 1999, Trish has held a variety of law firm business development and marketing roles. During her tenure at Fox, the firm has expanded rapidly, with a 75 percent increase in attorney headcount and 90 percent increase in revenue from 2008 to 2016. Leading a 30-member marketing team, Trish collaborates extensively with the Legal Recruiting, Talent Management and Professional Development groups to adopt and implement best practices for business development, lateral integration and market expansion. A strong proponent of professional development, Trish currently serves as co-executive editor of Strategies, LMA’s flagship publication, and on the association’s Educational Advisory Council, the entity charged with crafting performance and education standards for the industry. Cecilia R. Linton
Cecilia is the 2016 President of the LMA-Texas Chapter and will be the Immediate Past President of the Southwest Region Board of Directors. She is currently Senior Marketing Manager at Dykema Cox Smith where she provides brand direction, business development, and marketing advice for the Texas market, Financial Industry Group and Dental Service Industry areas of the firm. She has served in a variety of roles in her 16+ years of legal marketing. She has had the opportunity to handle a wide variety of legal marketing tasks such as events, PR, operations, budgets, business development, RFPs/proposals, technology integration, websites, collateral and branding.

Megan M. McKeon

Eric S. Meltzer
Eric S. Meltzer is the Director of Strategy & Pricing for Lane Powell, where he works closely with the leadership team to advance client value and service excellence, and is primarily responsible for practice innovation, pricing, and client service and development initiatives. Prior to joining Lane Powell, Eric was the Director of Legal Services for a global management consulting firm, where he helped develop its legal advisory practice, working with corporate law departments and law firms to craft strategy, improve value, develop leaders, and make meaning out of data.

George K. Milionis
George K. Milionis is general counsel of PetersenDean Roofing and Solar and Solar 4 America. Katie Moesche is Client Service Specialist for Stoel Rives, the largest law firm in Portland, Oregon. Prior to joining Stoel Rives, Katie served as Marketing Manager for Farleigh Wada Witt, a mid-sized Portland law firm, where she managed all aspects of the firm’s marketing and business development for eleven years.
Alicia Moore brings extensive experience serving as inside and outside General Counsel at public and private technology companies across a variety of industries. Before Echelon, she provided independent strategic legal advice to a number of clients. Prior to that, Alicia served as Vice President of Business Development, General Counsel, and Secretary for Extreme Networks. She also held the Vice President General Counsel roles at AristaSoft Corporation and Adaptec, and served on the Board of Directors for Women's Capital Corporation. Jamie Mulholland is a New Jersey-based law firm marketing consultant who works with practices of all sizes in the Northeast region. In 2000, she was recruited to join an Atlantic City full-service firm with a global casino law practice as its first in-house marketer. After six successful years with the firm, she left to pursue opportunities to work with other firms who were not large enough to need a full-time marketing director, but who desperately needed the help of an experienced professional. Her consulting practice has thrived from day one. Ellen Musante has nearly 30 years of business development, marketing and strategy experience leading AmLaw100 and large financial services firms. Idan Nishlis is the CEO of Nishlis Legal Marketing and is considered as the legal marketing pioneer in Israel. Being the only professional in the country to have studied services marketing, specializing in legal marketing, Idan has the most diversified and comprehensive work experience in the field, having worked in the US and Israel. Idan founded the first legal marketing department in Israel at Herzog Fox & Neeman (Israel's largest and leading law firm) which he managed for over 4 years, before launching Nishlis Legal Marketing.
Molly D. Nunes
Molly Nunes is the public relations director at WilmerHale. For over a decade, she has led a team recognized by industry publications for their accomplishments in obtaining outstanding media exposure. Molly is responsible for the implementation and execution of firm’s public relations initiatives, including overseeing the efforts gained through external PR agencies and solo practitioners.
For 14 years, Molly has grown through the ranks at WilmerHale and helped to build a team of six individuals dedicated to public relations. She works across the firm’s five legal departments, including its extensive pro bono practice, advising lawyers on case and industry specific public relations strategies. In addition to PR, Molly is responsible for the strategy, organization and completion of the firm’s participation in legal directories.
Molly started her communications career at public relations agencies. She joined WilmerHale from Weber Shandwick where she worked with both business and technology clients. Prior to that she was with Schwartz Communications, an agency focused primarily on technology and healthcare, that has since been acquired by MSLGROUP.
Molly received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Matthew Olsen, Head of Business Development, Litigation, Hunton & Williams – With 10+ years of experience in the industry, Matthew is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the firm's business development strategies and operations. He is responsible for working with practice groups, partners and business development team members to capitalize on already identified business opportunities and to source new ones. Matthew earned his M.B.A. from Fordham Graduate School of Business and his B.A. from Clark University.
Amy O’Neill has more than 15 years of experience advising lawyers on their marketing and business development strategies. As the Marketing & Business Development Manager for Hogan Lovells, an AmLaw 100 firm, Amy is responsible for the marketing and business development efforts of the firm’s offices in Denver, Colorado Springs, Houston, and Minneapolis. In this role, she leads her team in developing, implementing, and managing business development, marketing, and profile raising strategies for more than 100 lawyers. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells more than 10 years ago, Amy worked in the marketing department of a regional law firm.
Amy is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a devote Husker football fan. Amy currently serves on the board for UNDERWEARNESS, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides new underwear to children in need.
Danyel is the Business Development Coordinator at McNees Wallace & Nurick in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was employed with McNees from 2008 – 2011 prior to her three years living in Virginia working for Troutman Sanders LLP and Special Counsel. Danyel coaches attorneys and practice group leaders on developing unique strategies for capturing new business and strengthening client relationships. She assists attorneys with responses to requests for proposals and other business development opportunities. She oversees the firm's CRM system and provides training on best practices for utilizing CRM as a business development differentiator. Danyel is an LMA member and has served as a panelist for the LMA Philadelphia Chapter.
Joshua Peck, p.r. head at international law firm Duane Morris, is regarded as one of leaders of the legal public relations community worldwide. He is the co-founder and president of Law Firm Media Professionals, now in its 16th year, and has spoken across the U.S. on legal p.r., and internationally in Toronto, London, and in Milan, in Italian (which he does not speak).
Peck began his journalism career at the Michigan Daily, where he was proud to be arrested, in 1981, in pursuit of a story. As a reporter, he exposed numerous scandals, and was featured in many morning-after correction notices. He was a press secretary to losing Congressional candidate Hamilton Fish III.
In legal p.r., he has worked for several agencies and in-house at Kirkland & Ellis, Hughes, Hubbard & Reed, and for the last 13 years at Duane Morris.

His most recent accomplishment is marrying his college sweetheart, only 34 years after they first met. He is the husband of a Nottingham University grad student in theology, and the father of a Vanderbilt University philosopher, and a Pitt sophomore.
Kalev is Managing Director of Strategy at One North Interactive. He and his team design interactive experiences that meet the marketing and business development goals of complex, relationship-based organizations. Kalev consults directly with clients to create enduring brand, marketing and business development strategies for their interactive efforts. He designs the messaging direction, content strategy, information architecture and user-experience of professional websites and other interactive properties. Kalev speaks and writes regularly on a wide range of topics, including relationship development, digital strategy, brand expression, content marketing, interactive design and user analytics. Dave Poston is a licensed attorney who has held numerous international in-house and agency positions for law and other professional services firms handling international public relations and business development responsibilities from offices in Atlanta, London, New York, Orlando and San Francisco.
Lara Quie is the Head of Business Development for the Asia Pacific Region at Duane Morris & Selvam LLP, a joint venture law firm between U.S. firm Duane Morris LLP and Singapore firm, Selvam LLC. Half British and half Japanese, Lara has lived in seven countries and leads the firm’s business development and marketing activities for offices in Singapore, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai and Yangon. A graduate of Oxford University, Lara practised as an anti-trust lawyer in the UK before starting her own international business and eventually relocating to Hong Kong with her family. Lara has lived in Asia for 5 years.
Jennifer Raatz is the national Practice & Client Solutions Consultant for Foley & Lardner LLP. She leads the development and deployment of targeted marketing strategies across 10 practice areas – intersecting with specific client needs and objectives at the sector level. Working closely with our sector marketing team, Heather’s team drives measurable results around client retention, growth and satisfaction. Heather also developed and manages the strategic direction of Marketing Central – a centralized, administrative marketing function located in DLA Piper’s Global Service Center in Tampa, Florida.

Lynn Skoczelas is the chief experience officer for Sharp HealthCare, a fully integrated health care system in San Diego and home to The Sharp Experience. As chief experience officer, Lynn is accountable for the system-wide strategy, design, engagement and implementation of Sharp’s organizational improvement initiative transforming the health care experience for employees, physicians, patients and their families. She also provides leadership for The Sharp University, a “corporate university” created to provide leadership development, physician leadership development and team member engagement.

Adam L. Stock
Adam L. Stock is the Chief Marketing and Client Services Officer at Allen Matkins. Adam leads marketing and client development initiatives for firm members as well as practice areas and industry groups. He oversees the firm's branding, external communications and client relationship support. Prior to joining Allen Matkins, Adam was the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Dorsey and Whitney LLP.

Alison Swenton Arjoon
Alison has been advising businesses and law firms for over 20 years on strategy, business planning, international expansion, client development, and profile-raising tactics.
She joined Covington in DC in April 2014 as its Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, overseeing BD, marketing, and communications/PR for the global firm. Among other things, she has launched a firmwide client feedback program and overseen the revamp of the firm’s website, including development of a video component. She recently moved into a strategy role with the firm, serving as Strategic Advisor to the Chairman and the Management Committee, with a focus on international initiatives.
Prior to Covington, Alison was Head of Business Development for Paul, Weiss, based in NY. Micheline is the Director of Communications at King & Spalding, a global law firm with over 900 lawyers in 10 countries, where she is responsible for public relations, media relations and internal communication. Prior to moving in-house, she was Managing Director at Kekst & Company where she provided strategic and tactical communications counsel to senior management on a variety of complex, high-profile situations, including crises, litigation, M&A, bankruptcy, management changes, proxy fights and long-term investor relations issues. Earlier in her career, she was a corporate lawyer in New York City for six years.
Burton Taylor is founder of Proventus Consulting, which is a national marketing, public relations and business development agency that specifically serves the legal industry. Recognized by the National Law Journal’s as the No. 1 Legal PR agency in its Best of the Midwest rankings, Proventus works in firms across the nation to develop and execute on media relations strategies that are designed specifically to drive business development.

Barbara Taylor is DLA Piper’s Chief Marketing Officer. Barbara leads the firm’s national marketing team and works to support, develop and execute marketing strategies for the firm, practice groups and sectors in the Americas, while integrating these efforts globally. In addition, Barbara manages communications and public relations efforts. Barbara joined DLA Piper with 25 years of legal experience, including a lengthy tenure at BDO USA and BDO Seidman, where she held various positions on the legal team, including serving as General Counsel since 2001.
Kristin leads digital initiatives at West Monroe Partners, a business and technology consulting firm. In her role, she is responsible for CRM, marketing automation and the firm’s digital channels. Jose Fernando Torres
Jose Fernando Torres is a fellow at the Legal Design Lab, Stanford Law’s Center on the Legal Profession. At the Legal Design Lab, Jose is working on using design thinking to re-imagine online dispute resolution, and on using design methods for business model innovation at law firms and legal tech startups. He is the Director of the Center for Innovation in Law at the Sergio Arboleda University in Colombia and a co-founder at Lexter, a legal tech company in Colombia. Jose holds a JD from the University of Los Andes in Colombia, an International Diploma on International Trade Regulation from the World Trade Institute in Berne, and an LLM in International Economic Law & Policy from the University of Barcelona.
Mary M. Trice
As the Digital & Marketing Communications Manager at Winston & Strawn LLP, Mary Trice manages the firm’s digital marketing strategy and initiatives. In this role, she oversee Winston’s website, social media marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), website analytics and monitoring, online reputation management, and digital content development. She regularly assists attorneys and practice groups in creating business development plans and enhancements to raise their visibility online. In 2014, Ms. Trice’s work on behalf of Winston garnered the Legal Marketing Association’s Best in Show award for website redesign.
Jasmine Trillos-Decarie is the Chief Business Development Officer at Stoel Rives LLP based in their Seattle office. She is an experienced marketing leader with over 20 years of experience in marketing and business development at international AmLaw 100 and 200 firms. Jasmine’s expertise includes developing and implementing business development and marketing plans that support the firm’s strategic and financial objectives, as well as the successful leading, motivating, and coaching of cross-functional teams.
Jasmine works to develop and implement the business development strategies and marketing strategies and provides leadership and direction to the Marketing and Business Development Department. Micah Uram is the Director of Marketing and Business Development for Renaud Cook Drury Mesaros, a litigation firm based in Phoenix, AZ. For the past five years, Micah has lead business development efforts within an AmLaw 100 and 200 firm before joining RCDM in 2016. Micah is experienced integrating PR strategies into a firm’s business development plan as a means of gaining exposure for the firm’s brand, attorneys and services. Amy Scowen Walsh is responsible for the firm’s business development, marketing and communications activities. Amy has more than 20 years' experience leading and managing BD and marketing functions in professional services organizations.
Prior to joining Davies, she was senior director, marketing and business development at another major Canadian law firm. Before that, she was a principal and U.S. head of the business development resource group for a leading global consulting firm based in New York. Amy began her career in knowledge management at a global consulting firm, working in their Montréal and New York offices.
Jill Warren is Global Director of Marketing and Business Development (CMO role) at Bird & Bird LLP. A US and Dutch national, she divides her time between Germany and the UK and leads the firm's international team of professionals covering the areas of client service and insight, practice and sector business development, marketing communications and local marketing and business development. Prior to joining Bird & Bird in 2012 she spent five years as Head of Business Development, Continental Europe at Hogan Lovells and eight years in various business development and marketing roles at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Maggie T. Watkins
Maggie Watkins is a dynamic and high energy leader with a distinguished background as a marketing and business development executive. She has extensive expertise and knowledge in effectively developing and deploying strategic marketing, business and client centered initiatives that advance a firm’s objectives. She is currently the CMO and a consultant for the Letterman White Consulting firm. Prior to that, she worked at Bradley, an Am Law 200 law firm with nearly 500 lawyers.
Ms. Watkins was the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer at the law firm of Best Best & Krieger LLP; the Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Communications at LECG, an international publicly traded expert services and consulting firm; and President of Meritas, a global alliance of 175 independent full service business law firms in 80 countries, encompassing 5,000+ lawyers. She also has tenure with a large regional law firm (merged with Dentons) and a “Big Four” accounting firm.
Ms. Watkins is an active volunteer in professional and community organizations. On a national level, she is a past President of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) and the Association of Accounting Marketing (AAM). She has served as a director on numerous nonprofit boards, and currently sits on the boards of the ABA Law Practice Division’s Women Rainmaker’s Committee and Leadership California.
A frequent speaker, Ms. Watkins regularly addressees management, professional and non-profit groups on a variety of topics.

Paul Webb oversees all business development and marketing communication efforts at the New York City-based law firm of Kleinberg Kaplan Wolff & Cohen. For more than fifteen years he has collaborated with law firm leadership on strategies designed to increase business development and market position, and has developed and launched innovative reformations of law firm brands and images. Mr. Webb has also served on panels and authored articles in industry publications focused on legal marketing issues. In addition to his background in legal marketing, Mr. Webb has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University in the Department of Strategic Communication where he taught a course in Legal Issues in Communication Management.
Mr. Webb holds a J.D. from Rutgers University, a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University, and completed the Market Analysis for Competitive Advantage Executive Program at Columbia University’s, Graduate School of Business.
Tara is a partner in the Wicker Park Group, an international consultancy focused on helping law firms strengthen and deepen their relationships with in-house counsel and business owners through client feedback and other client facing programs.
Tara's practice includes training and conducting client feedback interviews, client service training, mid and end of matter feedback training and business development strategies based on hundreds of in-person and telephone interviews. Meredith L. Williams
Meredith L. Williams is Baker Donelson's Chief Knowledge Management Officer. Although trained as a lawyer, she is not actively engaged in the practice of law. Instead, she oversees BakerNet, the Firm's industry-leading intranet, and coordinates strategic growth on behalf of the Firm in knowledge management, competitive intelligence and technology. Ms. Williams also oversees many of the Firm's tools that allow us to partner with clients and deliver cutting-edge legal support. She directs the Firm's collaborative, web-based suite of online client services, which includes determining delivery methods and pricing structures. Amy has more than 15 years of research, training, and business intelligence experience. She is proficient in the use of a wide range of research tools and services and specializes in complex research projects. Her responsibilities include creating background reports on companies and individuals, developing target lists, maintaining a database of firm experience with judges, opposing counsel, and jurisdictions, identifying litigation opportunities, and providing statistics on case outcomes and timelines. Prior to joining the business development team, Amy founded Winning Case, Inc., concentrating on providing research and training solutions for attorneys and law firms. Winning Case services included statistical reporting and analysis for federal court cases, custom research projects, and training.
Amy graduated summa cum laude from Northern Illinois University with a BA in Political Science.
Gil Wolchock is an established management executive with more than 20 years of proven experience in P&L, corporate turnaround and sales management areas. Currently, Gil is Director of Sales for LexisNexis’ leading client relationship offering, InterAction. His experience spans across multiple industries within technology and he has served in various senior management positions. His strategic consulting background includes work with clients Coca-Cola, UPS, The United Way and Cox Communications. Mr. Wolchock was awarded as one of Atlanta's "40 Under 40" in 2007 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and he is a member of Leadership Atlanta, Class of 2009. Mr. Wolchock holds a Degree in Criminology from University of Florida.

Among other responsibilities, Catherine meets with clients to solicit their feedback and works with the firm’s client relationship partners and teams to help deliver value added services. Previously, Catherine held senior client relations roles at DLA Piper and at JAMS, the country’s largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services.
Catherine serves on the boards of various organizations including: Silicon Valley Directors’ Exchange, Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, Bay Area Cancer Connections, and Legal Services Sales Organization. In January of 2015, the Secretary of Health and Human Services appointed her to the Board of the National Foundation for Fitness, Sports and Nutrition for a six-year term.
In 2008, Catherine served on Hillary Clinton’s National Finance Committee, and, beginning in 2011. she served on Barack Obama’s National Finance Committee as the National Coordinating Co-Chair of Lawyers for Obama. Currently, she is a Community Liaison for Kamala Harris for Senate.
Catherine was recognized as a 2014 Woman of Influence by the and a 2015 Woman of Achievement by Legal Momentum. In January of 2015 she was inducted into the International Women’s Forum and invited to be an American Leadership Forum Fellow for 2015-2016.
