Andrew Laver is a Business Development Manager for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC. A firm of over 500 lawyers in seventeen offices, Buchanan is one of the longest standing law firms in the country. Andrew is responsible for the business development efforts of the firm’s Labor & Employment, Immigration and Tax Sections and is resident in the Philadelphia office.
Active in LMA, Andrew was the President of the Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter in 2014, joined the LMA’s Governance Committee in 2015, served as Co-Chair of the 2nd Annual Philadelphia Conference in 2016, served on the 2017 LMA Annual Conference Advisory Committee and is currently serving as a Co-Chair of the LMA Governance Committee.
Andrew is a graduate of Syracuse University and was president of the Syracuse University Philadelphia Alumni Club from 2007-2010. Since then, he has served on the board of the Syracuse University National Alumni Association, Inc. in various committee, ex officio and board roles. He is currently serving a second two-year term as Vice President of the Alumni Association and, as a member of the Executive Committee, chairs the Nominating Committee.

As CMO, Jeff leads global marketing and business development efforts for the firm's offices located throughout across five continents. One of the largest law firms in the world, K&L Gates has been recognized multiple times among the top 20 law firm brands in the Acritas Global Elite Brand Index, as well as within the top 10 firms in Acritas’ US Law Firm Brand Index for the past three consecutive years.
Jeff was personally acknowledged as the 2011 international Marketing Professional of the Year during the “Excellence in Legal Marketing” Awards, presented during the Hildebrandt Institute’s Marketing Partner Forum. This award celebrates the most innovative marketing professionals, with entrants judged on such criteria as innovation, effectiveness, creativity, leadership, and marketing excellence. Deborah Farone has distinguished herself as the CMO of two of the country’s most prestigious law firms, Debevoise & Plimpton and Cravath, Swaine & Moore. While at Cravath, she created a business intelligence unit to help generate revenue opportunities through predictive analytics, and assist partners for presentations, but also spent a large part of everyday working with individual lawyers on their own business development plans. On the communications side, Deborah oversaw crisis communications, as well as strategic public relations, the Firm’s website and all marketing communications.
Deborah joined Debevoise from Towers Watson, where she coordinated national press relations and marketing efforts. Prior to joining Towers, she worked at Ketchum Communications, where she handled public relations accounts for clients including publicly-held and private companies in the financial, professional services and consumer product sectors. Deborah has served on the faculty of New York University and has taught courses, including “Effective Marketing and Public Relations for Professional Service Companies.”
Deborah is currently working on a book to be published in 2018, “Best Practices: Marketing and Business Development for Law Firms.” Farone Advisors LLC assists professional service companies in the management of the marketing function and in helping to coach partners and practices in business development.
Director, Global Legal Contract Management
Kristi Anne Gedid earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Duquesne University. In addition, Ms. Gedid attended the Duquesne University Paralegal Institute and The Wecht Institute of Forensic Science and Law before entering graduate school.
Ms. Gedid has extensive experience in the areas of complex commercial litigation, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and transactional law. Prior to joining a global generic and specialties pharmaceutical company, where she is the Senior Director of Global Legal Operations, Ms. Gedid worked for two Am Law 100 firms as well as a large Pittsburgh-based bank. Ms. Gedid has a particular appreciation for understanding the complexities of the intersection of business and law and enjoys using both her legal and business education and experience on a daily basis.
Ms. Gedid also teaches at Duquesne University, where she encourages collaborative learning to give students a greater accountability and ownership over their educations and careers.

Diana Lauritson is a Senior Manager of Business Development at Foley & Lardner, an Am Law 100 firm with over 1,100 lawyers in 24 offices. At Foley, Diana is responsible for creating and implementing strategic initiatives that drive client and business development. She previously served as the Eastern Regional Business Development Manager at Ballard Spahr, where she led business development and marketing efforts in five geographic markets. Before Ballard, she was a Marketing Manager at Jennings, Strouss & Salmon in Phoenix.
Diana has had a versatile career and spent many years working in government and politics before entering the legal marketing field. In addition to legal, her background in business development, marketing, and communications encompasses a variety of industries and areas, including higher education, management consulting, trade associations, and nonprofits.
She has been an active member of LMA, currently serving as a member of the Diversity & Inclusion SIG, and previously as the past president of the Southwest Chapter and member of the Southwest Regional Nominating Committee.
Diana attended Creighton University and earned her B.A. in Political Science with a specialization in Legal Studies. She earned a M.B.A. from Florida Tech and a M.S. in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Creighton University School of Law.

Daniel Lépine is Chief Client Officer and Vice-President Operations at Alexa Translations, a translation services firm specialized in the legal, financial, consumer products and technical sectors. Daniel oversees the marketing, sales and operations of the firm. Prior to him joining the translation industry, he held marketing, business development and legal talent acquisition head positions in two Canadian law firms.
With more than 20 years of experience in marketing professional services, his knowledge and insight contributes to the firm’s growth by developing effective outreach strategies. Known for his innovative and pragmatic approach, he has become a key stakeholder in the Quebec legal market.
Daniel sits on the Board of the Legal Marketing Association of Eastern Canada and is Chair of the Local Steering Committee in the province of Québec.

Rich is on the Legal Marketing Association Midwest Region Board of Directors where he serves as Treasurer. In addition, he is co-chair of the LMA Tech Conference-Midwest. Previously, he served in a variety of positions with the former LMA Midwest Chapter including president.
Rich earned his Bachelors of Industrial Administration in Marketing from General Motors Institute and a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from Wayne State University.

A twenty-year legal marketing veteran and proven leader in the industry, Lisa is a frequent speaker on client growth and retention, value pricing, team management and leadership and talent acquisition. Lisa was inducted into the LMA Hall of Fame in 2017, served as LMA President in 2008 and has held numerous leadership positions with LMA during her career.
Before her career in legal marketing, Lisa worked in the banking industry and in broadcasting. She has a B.A. in Communications from the University of Denver.

Kate White is the Co-founder of Design Build Legal, a consulting firm working with law firms and legal departments to innovate legal services and design more valuable firm/client engagements. She works closely with law firm leaders to bring the voice of clients into their firms and design services that apply people, process, and technology in new ways to meet clients' evolving needs. Kate also works with legal operations teams inside corporate legal departments to design outside counsel management programs and identify opportunities to manage matters more efficiently. Before Design Build Legal, Kate served as the Client Engagement & Innovation Strategist at Davis Wright Tremaine, and was a founding member of the firm's legal solutions and innovation team, DWT De Novo. She holds a JD from Seattle University School of Law and is a student of design thinking. Kate also currently co-hosts the Legal Ops Rising podcast, a series featuring leaders in the legal operations profession.

Cynthia Voth is Director of Client Engagement & Innovation at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn—a 160-attorney firm, based in the Northwest. In addition to working with practice teams, client teams, and individual attorneys on business development, she works with all departments at the firm to improve processes and client experience. Cynthia's currently serves as President-Elect of the Legal Marketing Association. Her previous LMA positions include 2017 Annual Conference Advisory Committee Co-chair, member of the 2016 Annual Conference Advisory Committee, and as a member of the Nominating Committee in 2014 and 2016.
