To confirm your participation on a LMA virtual program, please review the following items and electronically sign and date the form.

I hereby agree to present the virtual program noted at the below date and time.

I hereby agree to the following terms and conditions of participation as a contributor to the virtual learning (e.g., webinar, podcast, e-learning, etc.) program conducted by the Legal Marketing Association (“LMA”) described above (“Virtual Learning”):    

I hereby grant LMA a non-exclusive, unrestricted, irrevocable license to broadcast and record the Virtual Learning (including, without limitation, any materials presented), to prepare a transcript of the Virtual Learning session(s), to edit the Virtual Learning, and to reprint or otherwise reproduce, in written, video, audio or electronic format, the Virtual Learning and/or any recording or transcript of the Virtual Learning for the purpose of publishing and distributing, by sale or otherwise, the Virtual Learning, individually or as part of a compilation, to third-party distributors, media outlets, and other interested parties, for the benefit of LMA. Such license includes the right to use my name, likeness, voice and biographical information in connection with the Virtual Learning.

This license also includes the right for LMA to process, analyze, and enhance the content of the Virtual Learning using artificial intelligence (AI) tools for purposes such as summarization, content development, and other enhancements aligned with LMA’s educational and promotional objectives. LMA retains ownership of any AI-enhanced content and any derivative works created from the original content.  

Other than the acknowledgement I will receive from LMA and others for my participation, I acknowledge that LMA will owe me no royalty or other compensation for my contribution to the Virtual Learning or the rights granted herein.

I hereby represent that, to the best of my knowledge, (a) the Virtual Learning will be accurate and will not violate any copyright, proprietary rights or personal rights of others; (b) any materials, including photographs, I provide for the Virtual Learning do not identify, by name or otherwise, suggest the identity of, or present a recognizable likeness of any individual or individuals; or, if they do, I have obtained all necessary consents from such individual(s) for the further use, distribution and publication of such materials; and (c) the Virtual Learning will be educational in nature, will not promote any product or service, and will not contain any false or misleading statements regarding any products or services or include statements or materials that are anticompetitive, slanderous, libelous or otherwise illegal, offensive or inappropriate.

Neither I nor any person or organization with which I have a personal or business relationship is engaged in any transaction or activity that may represent a conflict of interest with the subject of the Virtual Learning.

At least seven (7) business days prior to the Virtual Learning, I will send any presentation materials previously requested of me for review to LMA Education (education@legalmarketing.org) using the standard LMA template provided.    

I understand and acknowledge that registration lists are considered confidential to LMA, and I will not receive a copy of participant/listener email addresses.

I understand that LMA reserves the right to cancel my participation and/or the Virtual Learning and has no obligation to broadcast, record, or otherwise distribute it. If the Virtual Learning is cancelled, LMA will not be responsible for any damages or expenses I may incur in connection with the cancellation.

LMA acknowledges Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools have many benefits, but their use also carries a number of risks. Speaker agrees to only use AI tools for the following authorized purposes: idea generation, general-knowledge questions and research meant to enhance Speaker’s understanding on a topic, and to summarize online research or to create outlines for content projects to assist in full coverage of a topic. Speaker is prohibited from using AI Tools to infringe the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights, create final work product (including the Presentation and Presentation Materials), and create content to be distributed by LMA. While using AI tools, Speaker may not enter any LMA or third-party confidential, trade secret, or other personal or proprietary information into a prompt for an AI Tool. Speaker shall comply with all LMA policies and guidelines on use of AI tools.

I hereby indemnify and hold harmless LMA, its officers, directors, members, and staff from and against any and all claims, expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees), and liabilities whatsoever arising out of my breach of any of the representations set forth in this Agreement. I further waive any and all claims I may have against LMA, its directors, officers, members, and staff, and release and discharge them from any claim related to the Virtual Learning or the manner in which it is conducted, except for any third-party claim arising from a change made by LMA that alters the meaning or accuracy of any statements I make, or information I provide, for the Virtual Learning.
