Ari A. Katz
Chief of Lateral Partner Recruiting and Integration, King & Spalding

Ari A. Katz has over 25 years of extensive recruiting experience. Ari is responsible for implementing the strategic lateral hiring plans across King & Spalding's practice groups. Ari works collaboratively with partners to identify potential lateral targets (individuals, groups of laterals or boutiques) to cinsider in existing markets or in new ones. During the course of Ari’s career he has been responsible for recruiting over 750 lateral partners. Prior to joining King & Spalding Ari worked at two other major AmLaw firms.

Ari has held numerous leadership positions in NALP (National Association for Law Placement) and NYCRA (The New York City Recruitment Association) over the years, and he is currently a member of ALRA (the Atlanta Legal Recruitment Association.) Over the years Ari has participated in over 40 panels regarding lateral partner and associate recruiting and integration, and he has spoken at many annual NALP conferences on various recruiting topics. Ari earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and his B.S., magna cum laude, from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.



Koree Khongphand-Buckman
Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, Foley & Lardner LLP

Koree is responsible for leading the firm’s business development, marketing, client service and branding efforts across all practices, industries, sectors, and offices to help the firm achieve its strategic objectives. With 20 years of professional services marketing experience, Koree is adept at crafting and implementing growth strategies for new and existing clients. Prior to joining Foley, she served as head of marketing and business development for the Americas at a Top 10 global law firm where she developed many innovative initiatives and programs to enhance business performance, improve client engagement and increase revenue growth.



Jennifer Markman
Director of Partner Recruiting, Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP

Jen leads the firm’s partner and group hiring initiatives across all offices and new geographic markets. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in legal recruiting and professional development, Jen is a trusted advisor to firm leadership, including the chairman, hiring partners, department heads and practice group leaders, while playing a role in shaping and executing Katten’s strategic growth plans. She is known for her collaborative approach with recruitment agencies, ability to articulate the firm’s strengths and market differentiators, and skill in developing innovative recruitment and onboarding processes. Jen’s legal background as a former corporate associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, combined with her extensive recruiting experience at top law firms such as Thompson Hine LLP and Clifford Chance US LLP, informs her perspective on both the business and human aspects of law firm growth. She is adept at advising partners on market trends, best practices in candidate targeting and strategies for successful integration, ensuring a seamless experience for the firm and new hires. Konstantin A. Shishkin
Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Goodwin Procter LLP

Kon brings to life creative marketing and communications strategies for the firm and its clients. He is responsible for all aspects of Goodwin’s integrated marketing and communications functions, including thought leadership and editorial, creative and multimedia, digital, press and social media, awards and rankings, brand measurement and development, employee engagement and internal communications, marketing technology solutions, websites, executive communications, marketing operations, and events and conference services. He previously served as the firm’s Managing Director of Marketing and Communications. Prior to Goodwin, Kon led marketing and communications campaigns for financial and professional services companies, both in-house at the third-largest life insurance company in the United States and at a multinational investment bank, and at global PR agency Weber Shandwick, where his clients included law firms, banks, hedge and private equity funds, fintech companies, and accounting firms.
