Cherie Booth Blair
Legal Marketing Association is proud to announce that Cherie Booth Blair will present the keynote address at the 22nd Annual LMA Conference on March 13, 2008, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California.
The New York Times writes: "Cherie Blair is viewed as something of a wonder woman for her ability to balance her high-powered professional life, high-visibility public life and intensely consuming private life." Her husband, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, credits his wife for being "…an enormous source of strength and an extraordinary person in her own right. I never know how she manages with all the different things she does - the work, the family."
After studying Law at the London School of Economics (LSE), Cherie Booth was admitted to the Bar in 1976, having scored at the top of her class. To date, she is the only person to earn an LSE law degree with a first class in all her subjects. She married Tony Blair in 1980 and in 1995 she became a Queen’s Counsel, a title held by only 10 percent of English lawyers. Currently, she specializes in Public, Employment and European Community Law at Matrix Chambers law group in London.
The LMA 2008 Conference Co-Chairs, Aleisha Gravit and Felice Wagner added, "We are thrilled that Cherie Booth Blair has accepted our invitation to be the keynote speaker for the LMA 2008 conference. Cherie is fresh, genuine and engaging. As the former first lady of Britain and a practicing lawyer, Cherie not only understands the demands placed on lawyers, but also the need to remain competitive in today's global legal market. This unique perspective, coupled with her humor, will be entertaining, educational and a great way to Elevate our conference experience."
