Sr. Business Development Specialist

Large law firm is seeking a qualified Sr. Business Development Specialist for their DC office. Responsibilities for this newly created position include but are not limited to, working with attorneys and other Business Development professionals to implement and execute new business development initiatives, including proposal preparation, client presentations, sales pipeline management and market development; assisting with research of strategic market opportunities; overseeing the initiation of substantial, new client opportunities for the Firm; working with Business Development Manager, develop and maintain client relationships, identifying and prioritizing specific client opportunities and analyzing performance within the context of the Firm’s overall business development strategy; and independently assess, analyze, target and initiate efforts to cultivate new clients for the Firm and expand cross-selling opportunities. 

Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of sales and/or business development experience (preferably in a professional services organization), have a college degree (advanced degree preferred) and ability to travel.  Salary is commensurate with experience.  Excellent opportunity.
