Business Development Manager

Mid-size DC law firm is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to support the business development and marketing initiatives for all the practice groups in their local office. Responsibilities will include overseeing the development and writing of marketing materials, work with Managing Partner to produce materials for attorney hires and other related materials, assist with developing business strategies and action plans, client pitches and tracking pitch results, attend and network at business related events and provide leads for business development efforts, work with Chief Marketing Officer and outside public relations firm and ad agencies to increase visibility, manage internal and external seminars, create and monitor office marketing budget, supervise and manage business development staff and other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, English or Communications and several years of marketing management experience in a law firm. Strong business writing skills required. Proven and effective managerial experience is needed. Solid computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Must be a team player and able to work with people on all levels. Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines. Flexibility for overtime on short notice required. Firm offers great benefits and salary commensurate with experience.
