A new legal marketplace is taking shape. In-house legal departments are now required to do more with less, closely manage limited resources and continue to prove their value. Ryan Marks, Senior Corporate Counsel, AMN Healthcare
As Senior Corporate Counsel at AMN Healthcare, a NYSE-traded healthcare workforce solutions company based in San Diego, Ryan oversees complex litigation matters and provides general legal support to certain of the company’s business lines. Ryan holds a BA from UCLA, and a JD from Columbia Law School. He is a San Diego native and lives here with his wife, two daughters, and a big shaggy poodle mix.
Steven Mashal, Legal Counsel, American Council on Exercise
Steven Mashal oversees and manages all legal issues including commercial contracts, trademarks, and content licensing. Throughout his professional career, he has held various legal positions in a wide range of industries, including Assistant Vice President and Attorney for Security Pacific Bank, Corporate Counsel for Ashton-Tate Corporation, Senior Corporate Counsel for British Telecommunications and also as a sole practitioner. Steven earned his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkley. He currently serves as president of the Association of Corporate Counsel – San Diego Chapter.
Lisa Omori, Corporate Counsel, Grand Pacific Resorts
As corporate counsel for Grand Pacific Resorts, Inc., a full-service resort management and development company that includes affiliates Grand Pacific Resort Management, ResorTime.com and Advanced Financial Company, Lisa oversees all legal aspects of Grand Pacific’s nationwide, award-winning timeshare program. She also provides guidance to Grand Pacific’s executive and business management teams on a panoply of business needs including resort development and compliance, resort management, contract management, corporate governance and development of policies and procedures. Lisa earned her law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Los Angeles.
