Capital Senior Leaders SIG:
CMO PR/Media Relations Roundtable

June 22, 2017 | 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

Please join us for a Senior Leaders PR/Media Relations Roundtable discussion with top journalists in the Mid-Atlantic region. Participants will share insights into the following issues and trends in the legal and public policy space:

  • How law firms can work more effectively with reporters to provide accurate, salient, and timely information
  • What are the differences between covering law, politics, and the “business of law”
  • How reporters assess a story’s value, and how to determine each reporter’s goals and needs
  • Discuss resources that should be available to reporters and to firms, and how to maximize opportunities to work together
  • Review regional and global market trends through the eyes of a journalist
  • Discuss the influencer era, and the impact of social media on traditional reporting
  • Cover the “fake news” trend, exploring how reporters and editors determine the accuracy of a source; whether “fake news” is a problem for law firms or the journalists who cover them
A Q&A session will follow the discussion.
