Building Business, Leading Teams: Women Attorneys on Marketing, Growth, and Leadership

The Association for Women Attorneys (AWA) New Orleans and the South Louisiana group of the Legal Marketing Association (LMA) are co-hosting an educational program in April. This candid conversation will feature New Orleans women attorney leaders sharing how they approach marketing and business development while balancing the realities of leadership at their firms. 

We’ll explore how these leaders collaborate with firm marketing executives, encourage lawyer participation, and navigate uneven engagement across their groups. Beyond tactics, the conversation will dive into leadership development — how these women prepared themselves for leadership roles, the skills that mattered most in their transition, and how they advocate both for their teams and for themselves.

I help law firms grow by strengthening the relationships that drive revenue and turning client relationships, lateral integration, and internal collaboration into true growth engines.

Coterie Strategies, which I founded after more than a decade in-house at law firms, partners with growth‑minded firms and lawyers in Am Law, regional, and boutique environments, working both alongside in‑house marketing and business development teams and as a standalone advisor to navigate key growth opportunities.

The firms and lawyers I work with understand that growth isn’t a marketing problem — it’s most often a focus, alignment, and execution challenge. My role is to help firms decide where to invest their resources, how to activate their lawyers, and how to sustain momentum.
