Speakers:Kevin Burwell Vice President & General Counsel, Kloeckner Metals Corporation

Since 2024, Kevin Burwell has been Vice President & General Counsel for Kloeckner Metals Corporation, a $5B steel manufacturer headquartered just outside Atlanta, with nearly 60 locations throughout the U.S. and Mexico. As Kloeckner’s first General Counsel, he is tasked with developing the governance, regulatory, and compliance team for the Americas, and aligning that with Kloeckner’s German parent company.
Previously, Kevin spent several years as the first GC for Knight Materials, an international manufacturer and installer of corrosion-resistant materials headquartered in Northeast Ohio. With background from his time at a steel mill, a law firm, a maritime port, and as a board director, he continues to bring unique perspective and qualified guidance to his clients.
He is currently a member of the Wall Street Journal’s Chief Compliance Officer Council as part of its Leadership Institute, University of Akron’s National Board of Directors of the Alumni Association, Kent State Economics Advisory Board, and has served on the board of the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones. Kevin has an Economics degree from Kent State University and a J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law.
He and his wife, Leigh Ann, are enjoying their relocation from Ohio to Georgia, while remaining close to their 4 adult daughters and 2 granddaughters.
Veronica Davis
Assistant General Counsel, Southwire Company

Veronica Davis is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She received her B.S. cum laude in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago. Upon graduation from law school, Veronica worked at Mayer Brown in Chicago. She then moved to Boston MA to join Cellular One as in-house counsel. Veronica relocated to Atlanta GA one year later when Cellular One became a part of Cingular Wireless (now known as AT&T). She worked for AT&T and its predecessor companies for over 20 years and held several positions in the legal department including supporting Mobility Operations, Procurement, Litigation, and External and Legislative Affairs for the state of Georgia.
In March of 2023, Veronica joined Southwire Company as Assistant General Counsel leading the Contracts Legal team. Her team is responsible for the review and negotiation of contracts across the Southwire enterprise. Veronica currently serves as Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Georgia chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
Veronica and her husband, Reginald, have a 16-year-old son, Andrew. Outside of work, she is an avid reader, rides her Peloton faithfully, and loves to travel.
Andrea PetersSenior Counsel & Global Head of Compliance, Interface

Andrea Peters serves as Senior Counsel and Global Head of Compliance at Interface, Inc. (NASDAQ: TILE), a leader in commercial flooring. With 30 years of experience practicing law, Andrea has honed her expertise in supporting global operations across various sectors, including R&D, Sales, Procurement, Tax, and HR. She is also at the helm of Interface's global compliance program. Her in-house legal career includes pivotal roles at CAN Capital, The Weather Channel, General Electric, and GAMBRO Healthcare.
Andrea earned her J.D. from The Vanderbilt University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising, with honors, from The Pennsylvania State University, where she distinguished herself as the College of Communications' Student Marshall (Valedictorian).
Based in Atlanta, Andrea is a mother, an adventurer with skydiving, bungee jumping and ziplining feats, and a culinary and travel enthusiast. Post-retirement, Andrea aspires to indulge in lifelong learning free from academic pressures and to immerse herself in diverse cultures through extended stays in cities around the world.
Andrea resides in Atlanta with her 12-year-old daughter. She enjoys cooking, wine and travel, and is passionate about leveraging generative AI to enhance efficiency and creativity both in work and in play. When she retires, Andrea plans to go back to college to audit all of the hard but interesting classes without worrying about writing papers or taking exams, and to spend at least a few years exploring the world through extended stays in short-term rental properties around the globe.
Ashoo Sharma
General Counsel, GA and AL Regions, HomeServices of America
As chief legal officer for four real estate brokerages across Georgia and Alabama owned by HomeServices of America (a Berkshire Hathaway company) - Harry Norman, Realtors, BHHSGA Properties, RealtySouth, and Roberts Bros, Ashoo oversees all legal and compliance matters. As part of the senior leadership team, Ashoo also impacts DEI goals and for this work earned the Diversity Champion awards from Fulton County Daily Report and Atlanta Business Chronicle. For her professional excellence and industry impact, she has earned several awards, including 2024 RISMedia Newsmakers “Crusader” award, “Georgia Rising Stars" by Super Lawyers, "GC Impact Award" by Fulton County Daily Report, Top 50 Corporate Counsel by OnConferences, GC Powerlist Atlanta award by The Legal 500.
Ashoo serves on Georgia’s Association of Corporate Counsel Board, was member of Georgia’s 2024 prestigious Leadership of Atlanta Class, and the Governor appointed her to Georgia Equal Opportunity Commission's Advisory Board to help safeguard Georgians from discrimination. Most recently, Ashoo was appointed as Georgia advisor to the US Commission on Civil Rights. Established in 1957, the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights is an independent, bipartisan federal agency charged with advising the President and Congress on civil rights matters and issuing an annual federal civil rights enforcement report. Additionally, this year, Ashoo achieved appointment to the Emory Board of Visitors based on her community leadership to impact the next generation of ethical, forward-thinking leaders – many of whom will shape the future. Ashoo is often asked to speak on panels regarding professional best practices and is considered a legal and civic leader in Georgia.
Geoffrey Frost (moderator)
Executive Director, Association of Corporate Counsel – Georgia Chapter

Geoff Frost has over 25 years of experience in the Atlanta legal industry. He spent seven years in marketing at an AmLaw 200 law firm in Atlanta and fifteen years as the Director of Client Development at Atlanta-based litigation firm Bondurant Mixson & Elmore LLP.
Geoff currently serves as the Executive Director of the Association of Corporate Counsel Georgia Chapter and is on the Advisory Board of Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta where he chairs the Fundraising Committee.
Geoff also serves as the CEO of Justified Client Development, a consulting practice where he works with a variety of clients in the legal industry.
