The organization is dedicated to providing leadership, management, technical and tactical opportunities and professional development that can be utilized in each member’s career and beyond. Interested in volunteering with LMA? While the formal call for 2026 committee appointments has closed, there are still opportunities to get involved throughout the year.

LMA’s volunteer pipeline remains open year-round for regional, local and micro-volunteering opportunities. If you are interested in serving in any capacity or would like to be considered for future leadership or committee roles, we encourage you to submit your interest through the Pipeline to Volunteer Leadership form.

Meet the 2026 LMA International Board of Directors, as presented by the 2025 LMA International Nominating Committee. These highly qualified candidates are dedicated to the advancement of LMA and pledge to expend significant energy toward that end. The slate was ratified on Monday, September 16, 2025.

LMA is working on new ways to help current volunteers understand how they can advance their volunteer leadership and help new volunteers understand all the ways to get involved. The organization is working on the LMA Leadership Journey Map to fully detail all of the amazing opportunities available and aid all of us in our volunteer advancement. More information coming soon!

As part of our training and development commitment, LMA produces an engaging mentor-mentee program at the LMA International Conference. When registering, make sure you select whether you would like to be a mentor or mentee!

• Am I too junior?

  You are never to junior to volunteer with LMA! There are several ways you can volunteer that allow you to find the right fit, no matter how junior or senior.

• Am I too senior?

  Your knowledge of legal marketing and the years of experience you can bring to LMA is vital. No matter your experience level, there is a role for you as a volunteer with LMA.

• What is the time commitment?

  The time commitment is dependent on the type of volunteer role you decide to take. You should expect to dedicate anywhere from a few hours per\ week to a few hours per month to LMA activities Although, the time committee can vary throughout the year.

• Is it okay that I work remotely?

  Yes! Volunteerism can happen right at home.

• I like to network in person. What's the best role with that in mind?

  LMA offers a variety of in-person events throughout the year!  Our programming committees work together to create various events ranging from Fun Member Socials to Multi-day Conferences. You can help with welcoming guests, developing programs, pre-event communication, and more!    

• I'm new to LMA. Is that okay?

  Absolutely – We need you!  We love to get new Members involved and sincerely appreciate their fresh perspectives   For Board roles, LMA has various requirements, but we have other ways you can help before you hit your membership and leadership milestones.  The first step is to fill out the LMA Volunteer Pipeline to Leadership. 

• I'm a current volunteer. What are my next steps?

  Filling out the LMA Volunteer Pipeline to Leadership is your first step! This will connect you with your Regional LMA leadership, and they can keep you informed of volunteer opportunities as they become available.
