Amy Monaghan is Perkins Coie's Senior Practice Innovations Manager and co-chair of the Firm's Innovation Working Group. In this role, she works with firm attorneys and clients to identify areas where innovative solutions can help meet client needs. She manages the firm's artificial intelligence solutions, which include machine learning contract analysis tools, document automation solutions and logical reasoning tools. Amy leads a growing team of legal technologists and process improvement specialists and has been integrally involved in the firm's participation in innovative law school programs, such as the Institute for the Future of the Law Profession. Amy frequently speaks and writes on legal innovation topics. In 2019, she was named a "Young Professional to Watch" by the International Legal Technology Association. Amy graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law and also has a fine arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Outside of work, she continues her visual arts practice and enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband and two greyhounds. Amy is passionate about using creative problem solving to help improve client service, as well as empowering everyone to be innovative.
