Will Barnette is Associate General Counsel for The Home Depot and is a member of the Company’s Legal Senior Leadership Team. He leads the Company’s Commercial Litigation team, which has responsibility for The Home Depot’s most significant commercial and business litigation, including consumer class actions, IP disputes, antitrust, vendor and customer disputes, and shareholder matters. Prior to his current position, Mr. Barnette was responsible for managing The Home Depot’s class action and other complex commercial litigation. In that role, over a decade Mr. Barnette led the successful defense of more than 165 class actions. Mr. Barnette achieved these results while reducing The Home Depot’s spend on such cases by half through the creative use of alternative fee arrangements. Mr. Barnette also created a recovery project through which The Home Depot identifies significant opportunities to participate in class settlements or pursue opt-out litigation, resulting in a number of large recoveries for the Company. Mr. Barnette is also responsible for managing The Home Depot’s Third Party Discovery response team. In addition, Mr. Barnette manages the legal function that supports The Home Depot’s Services, Pro, and Store Operations team. Mr. Barnette is one of the few in-house counsel to have argued before the United States Supreme Court, which he did on January 15, 2019 in Home Depot v. Jackson (No. 17-1471). Mr. Barnette is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. In 2016, Mr. Barnette won the Corporate Counsel Award for Advocacy given by the Atlanta Business Chronicle and the Association of Corporate Counsel Georgia Chapter. In 2014, Mr. Barnette won the First Chair Award for Top Litigation Counsel. Also in 2014, Mr. Barnette won The Home Depot’s Values Award in recognition of his commitment and leadership in supporting pro bono legal representation. She is the Practice Director at Adams and Reese LLP and has also led business development initiatives for AmLaw50 firms Sidley Austin and McDermott. Rebecca leads the business development team at Adams and Reese and works directly with firm leadership on practice management initiatives and develops strategies around client retention, marketing and media relations. Rebecca has been active in the Legal Marketing Association since chairing the local New Orleans/Baton Rouge city group over a decade ago to currently serving as co-chair of the LMA International Governance Committee. Because of this experience, she understands the necessity of LMA programming being applicable to professionals across our industry and has contributed to many of the association’s programming and education initiatives to maximize their value for all LMA members.
Rebecca earned her Master’s in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and emphasizes the integration of the various sectors of marketing in every aspect of what we do.

John Witts is Senior Marketing Technology Manager for Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, an AmLaw 100 firm. In his role, he manages development, maintenance and administration of the firm’s marketing technology resources including the external website, blogs and other web properties, SEO and analytics, CRM and email marketing solutions, and others. He oversees intersections of marketing and technology with a focus on internal efficiencies and integration of technology to support the business development function at the firm.
John currently serves as co-chair of the Legal Marketing Association’s Marketing Technology SIG and has previously held roles in LMA’s Philadelphia Local Group as co-chair of the group’s CRM SIG and as a member of the group’s Website, Social Media & Video Committee.
Chief Executive Officer
Stuart Wood is the Chief Executive Officer at Caravel Law, an innovative law firm with lawyers across Canada. Stuart is based in Toronto. Following his MBA at INSEAD, Stuart joined McKinsey & Company as a consultant where he served large clients across North America in a variety of industries, including software, financial services and legal. He then moved to Torys LLP to lead strategy, business development and marketing in the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Stuart was a founding board member of the Toronto LMA chapter. He also served as COO for AUM Law, another successful player in the new model legal services world. He is a past winner of the Marketing Initiative of the Year award from the Marketing Partner Forum, and launched the first iPhone application for a law firm, back in 2010. Stuart moved out of legal to found an innovative HR/technology company, and more recently, Stuart was the COO for Exact Media, leading the company through a successful Series A fundraising round, international expansion and the creation of several new business initiatives. He is the proud father of three daughters.
