We are in exciting times. In-house legal departments feel unprecedented pressure from their corporate leadership to control legal spend and get “more for less”. New, disruptive legal service providers have entered our market, willing and eager to provide lower cost services and compete with traditional law firms. Can the tried-and-true law firm business model survive or must we evolve and expand how we define ourselves and offer our services? Perhaps more relevant to us, what role do Business Development and Marketing professionals play in the long term financial success of law firms?
