Terra Davis (Moderator) is a business development professional with seven years of experience in legal marketing. She currently serves as a business development manager at Winston & Strawn and supports its transactions practices, including Capital Markets, Private Equity, M&A, Real Estate, Funds, and Financial Services. Terra is also the co-chair of the Legal Marketing Association’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Shared Interest Group and is president of the Howard University Alumni Association’s Dallas Club. During her down time she enjoys reading, binge-watching her favorite shows, and spending time with her husband and nine-month-old daughter, Zoey.
Ashley Black is the Diversity & Inclusion Manager at Porter Hedges LLP, a mid-size firm based in Houston, TX. She has over 12 years of legal marketing experience and transitioned into her current role in 2020, becoming the firm’s first D&I professional. She received her bachelor’s degree from Clemson University (Go Tigers!), master’s degree from Florida State, D&I certificate from Cornell University, and is the 2021 Treasurer for the LMA Southwest Region Board. Ashley is a native South Carolinian and resides in Phoenix, AZ with her husband, five-year-old daughter, and giant schnauzer.
Ashlee Davis is Vice President and Senior Diversity & Inclusion Manager at AllianceBernstein (AB), a global investment management firm in 22 countries. In this role, she is responsible for expanding and leading AB’s diversity and inclusion strategy in San Antonio and AB’s global headquarters of Nashville, the assessment and cultivation of key community partnerships, and partnering with AB’s senior executives to implement effective and measurable D&I action plans. Ms. Davis holds a B.A. in Politics & Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh and Juris Doctorate from the Howard University School of Law. She is a native of Nashville, Tennessee.
Tamika Walters is the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer of Burr & Forman LLP. Tamika has worked in the legal industry for more than 15 years, including as a litigator, a Senior Business Development Manager, and as a Senior Diversity & Inclusion Manager for AmLaw 100 firms. Tamika earned her J.D. at Georgetown and her B.A. in Educational Studies from Brown University.
