As chief client development officer, she partners with firm management to guide the direction of Faegre Baker Daniels’ business development and marketing programs and initiatives. Melanie’s goal is to help the firm move from transactional to relational thinking and strategically invest in business development and marketing activities. Melanie’s team is responsible for client relations, business development, internal and external communications, corporate identity and brand management, marketing technology systems, and client entertainment and alumni relations initiatives.

Melanie is an industry leader on client feedback programs, conducting frequent on-site client visits with FaegreBD’s managing partner to assess the firm’s relationships and understand how to better support and respond to clients’ business objectives.

Kelly Klopotek, Chief Business Development Officer, Gray Plant MootyKelly Klopotek
As the Chief Business Development Officer at Gray Plant Mooty, Kelly works with firm leadership to establish the strategic direction and execution of the firm's business development and marketing initiatives. She focuses her efforts on institutionalizing the business development function within the firm, leads the firm's client service and feedback program, business development training and coaching programs, and oversees initiatives to expand and improve client relationships, increase revenue, and raise brand awareness in target markets.

Kelly has over 20 years of professional services experience in creating and leading marketing and business development programs at previous law firms in Minneapolis and Chicago. She currently serves on the Legal Marketing Association Midwest Regional Board and was a past-President of LMA's Minnesota Chapter. In addition, Kelly has 5 years of sales experience, having received several awards and recognition for top performance and leadership at global companies such as AT&T, NCR and Hallmark Cards.


Pat LiljaPat Lilja, Chief Marketing Officer, Pritzker Hageman, P.A.
Pat Lilja manages marketing for Pritzker Hageman, P.A., a personal injury law firm with legal teams concentrating on food poisoning, bacterial contamination, fire and explosion and complex injury cases. Pat manages all aspects of firm marketing strategy and execution, including digital/integrated marketing, advertising, SEO, content production, and public relations. In delivering on firm marketing goals Pat has been extremely lucky in being able work with a fantastic team of dedicated writers, content producers and social media experts. Prior to joining Pritzker Hageman, Pat was Director of e-Strategy and Digital Integration at Tunheim, a national communications and marketing company. At Tunheim, he worked with hundreds of clients over two decades, including Target Corporation, Ingersoll Rand, Cargill, and the teams tasked with bringing the Super Bowl and the Final Four to Minnesota. Pat has a son at the University of Minnesota and a daughter in high school, and trying to keep up with them is currently his main “leisure” past-time.

Jill Weber, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Stinson LLPJill Weber

Jill Weber is Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer for Stinson LLP, where she is responsible for creating and executing marketing and business development strategies, including Fast Forward®, a nationally recognized integrated business development initiative. Jill was named to the National Law Journal’s inaugural list of "50 Business of Law Trailblazers & Pioneers;" is a Fellow in the College of Law Practice Management; was recognized as a 2009 “Unsung Legal Hero” by Minnesota Lawyer; was the recipient of the 2007 EXCEL Minnesota Award, sponsored by the Minnesota Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators; and has received three national and 19 local Legal Marketing Association (LMA) “Your Honor” awards. She was the 2017 LMA President and co-chaired the 2012 LMA Annual Conference. She has attended Harvard Law School’s “Leadership in Law Firms” executive education program.

LMA Midwest Region reserves the right to cancel the registration of any registrant with an outstanding balance.

Should you need to cancel your registration, please contact events@lmamidwest.org prior to January 20. According to LMA Midwest Region policy, all no-shows and cancellations after January 20 will be billed the late registration rate.
