New York Local Committees

Communications

The Communications Committee offers a great opportunity to become more involved with the LMA Northeast Region while developing deeper relationships with some of the top pros in our industry and expanding your own skills and experience. Communications Committee members write feature articles and profiles, cover LMA New York events, interact on social media and assist with other communications platforms. The time commitment can be little, the rewards to you and LMA can be huge. For the 2020 Committee Overview CLICK HERE.

MemberSHIP

The Membership Committee surveys new and existing members on a regular basis to help ensure that folks are getting the most value from their LMA membership while identifying ways to create additional value at the local level.  The Membership Committee is also responsible for attracting new members by conducting community outreach and market research.  Additionally, the Membership Committee aims to facilitate engagement between LMA and the New York community at large by organizing several volunteer service projects throughout the year.

Who Can Join?
All are welcome! We are seeking enthusiastic members to get involved in long‐term member engagement
initiatives. We also accept “micro‐volunteers” to help with one‐off projects as needed — e.g. volunteering at the
registration table is a great way to get to know your fellow LMA members and build a personal path to leadership.

Programming

The Programming Committee performs the vital task of developing and presenting the monthly educational events that are key to our chapter’s mission. Committee members create the concept, flesh out the subject matter, identify speakers and panelists, and tend to the many details that go into an effective program. Chapter members only need to commit to one meeting per month and new members will be teamed up with senior committee members to manage programs. In addition to working with fellow committee members from a wide range of law firms and organizations, you will have a chance to connect with various senior-level experts that participate as speakers on our panels. It is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with peers of all levels in the LMA network while providing input on the content of upcoming programs. For the 2020 Committee Overview CLICK HERE.

Sponsorship

The Sponsorship Committee plays an important role in the Chapter’s financial picture and serves the nation’s most sought after markets – New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Boston. The mission of the sponsorship committee is to match legal services suppliers with their target audience – namely, in-house marketers at every level for firms with presence in the region. The committee is responsible for generating revenue to offset the cost of programming, networking and SIG-based events, and to provide for financial liquidity that in turn is used to serve our membership with the resources and support needed to provide their organizations with cutting-edge marketing support. The Sponsorship Committee provides valuable information on the services and merchandise provided by sponsors and actively works to help integrate our sponsors into our community.  For the 2020 Committee Overview CLICK HERE.
