Conference Update

Membership Committee

The Mid-Atlantic Region Membership Committee is tasked with providing a consistent membership experience to new and existing members. Whether you are new to legal marketing or an experienced professional, our membership committee works to help you understand and take advantage of all the benefits that come along with being a member of LMA. We work closely with all other committees to ensure that our educational programs, publications and events meet the needs and desires of our members. For more information please contact our Regional Board Membership Director, Jennifer Bonesteel or your  local membership liaisons: JR Reid (Capital/DC), Kim Trone (Baltimore) and Bobbie Conklin (Virginias).

Newsletter Committee

The Newsletter Committee is responsible for the LMA Mid-Atlantic Region Newsletter. The Committee comprises members from across the region, who collaborate to develop substantive thought leadership content and produce the Region's quarterly newsletter. Committee members have the opportunity to participate in the full production cycle of this periodic publication, including developing editorial calendars, writing and editing thought leadership content, and collaborating with the Region's social media and distribution functions. The committee has many opportunities for both seasoned content marketing/communications professionals and those interested in building these skills alike. Committee meetings are held once every three months.

For more information please contact our chair Leslie Valenza.

Programming Committee

Each local steering committee (Capital, Baltimore and Virginias) have their own Programming Committees which work to plan and execute educational programming throughout the region. If you are interested in volunteering to support programming at the local level, please contact your local program leads: Jason Levin (Capital); Janessa Shaikun (Baltimore); and Elizabeth Roberts (Virginias).

In addition to facilitating local programming, we are actively recruiting for volunteers to assist with producing innovative and educational programs for our annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference. For more information on joining the Conference Planning Committee, contact our Regional Programming Co-Chair, Amy Strope

Social Media Committee

The Social Media Committee manages the Facebook and Twitter accounts for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Using social media management and content marketing best practices, the Committee works to showcase the Mid-Atlantic Region's thought leadership and networking opportunities to the greater legal marketing community by promoting and live-tweeting events, sharing regional newsletter articles and educational content from the LMA International, and more. Committee members have the opportunity to create content, design infographics, track analytics, and learn to use social media management tools. Whether you handle social media as part of your job or want to learn something new, the Mid-Atlantic Social Media Committee wants to hear from you!

For more information please contact our Chair Nicole Steckman.
