Who Should Join?MEMBERSHIP

Anyone involved in the promotion of law firms will benefit from membership including: members of law firm marketing departments, attorneys and/or executive directors who oversee the marketing and client development functions for their law firms, members of the media, consultants to law firms and service providers who support legal services marketing.

Members of the Mid-Atlantic Region of LMA have diverse professional backgrounds and offer creative insights to legal services marketing. Members hold a variety of titles, from Chief Marketing Officers and Client Development Specialists to Webmasters and Marketing/Communications Coordinators. All are responsible for a broad range of activities, from strategic practice development, communications, coaching, research and writing, to media relations, graphic design and proposal support, to name a few.

Benefits of Becoming a Member

Dues help offset the costs of monthly educational programs, special member receptions, and on-going Web site maintenance. In addition to the annual dues, the Region charges a nominal fee for each month's program to help offset the costs of the speakers. If you RSVP for a program and do not cancel within set time range prior to the event date, you will be invoiced for the missed event.

Monthly programs, announcements and reminders are publicized to members and prospects exclusively via e-mail. Therefore, it is very important to keep your member profile current.

Volunteer Leadership Opportunities

Membership has its benefits. LMA members have the opportunity to take on leadership roles within the Legal Marketing Association Mid-Atlantic Region on a regional level, and on local steering committees and projects. Members who have an interest in developing deeper relationships with fellow Mid-Atlantic region members or further developing skills and knowledge to take back to their firm can participate in one of the committees that best fit their interests.
