Kendall Ruby is the Marketing Director for Harman Claytor Corrigan & Wellman, PC, a mid-Atlantic law firm specializing in civil litigation. She has been with the firm since 1992 and became their first marketing professional in 2006. Kendall has been a member of the Virginias chapter since 2007 and has previously served as Secretary, Treasurer and President-Elect.

Darryl Cross has consulted with over 500 law firms around the world to collect and share best practices in marketing, profitability and growth strategies.He is currently responsible for coaching and performance development for an 1100 person, national sales force generating $1.5 billion in sales.
Darryl’s direct experience includes his service as the Chief Marketing Officer and member of the Executive Committee of a law firm. He combines this with his formal education as an M.B.A. and graduate of The George Washington University’s Law Firm Management program to coach leaders on how to improve the results of top performers and the organization as a whole.
His coaching expertise and approach to performance development is multifaceted. He is a certified business coach, a certified athletic coach and a Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Darryl helps organizations turn ideas, aspirations and intentions into actual results.
Aaron Barr has been the Director of Marketing for Marks & Harrison, a Virginia law firm specializing in plaintiffs’ personal injury, since 2006. Prior to joining Marks & Harrison, Aaron served as a Graduate Instructor at Radford University while completing his Master of Science degree. Aaron has been a member of the Virginias Chapter since 2007 and previously served as Sponsorship Committee Chair and Technology and Communications Chair.
Amanda Arwood is a Business Development Manager at Troutman Sanders LLP supporting the marketing and business development efforts of the Finance, Environmental and Business Litigation practices across the firm as well as initiatives specific to the Troutman Sanders Richmond office. She has more than 10 years of experience in marketing and communications strategy and project management. Prior to joining Troutman Sanders in December 2013, Amanda was the head of the Marketing & Communications Department of the Virginia Association of REALTORS®, a statewide trade association serving more than 30,000 members. Amanda is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She is a new member of the Virginias Chapter.

Betsy Spellman is the Chief Marketing Officer of Steptoe & Johnson. She participates in strategic planning and directs the firm's business development, marketing, and client service efforts to achieve the strategic goals of the firm. She works with a team of marketing and business development professionals who help attorneys build relationships through clientfocused activities.
Ms. Spellman guides the firm's thought leadership efforts as evidenced by the recently published "Below the Surface 2 - Digging Deep on Deals," an award-winning study commissioned to identify the challenges lurking below the surface of shale gas production nationwide.
Ms. Spellman develops branding strategies and coordinates the development of client-focused teams to strengthen client relationships and enhance the profitability of the firm. She created and manages the firm's client feedback program and acts as the "voice of the client" for the firm.
Robin Oliver is the Global Director of Business Development for JD Supra. In this role, Robin works together with top law firms across the country to help them select and implement the right Content Strategy solutions to support their Business Development/Marketing efforts and maximize their return on investment. Robin has been an LMA member since 2000, prior to JD Supra Robin was a Client Development Specialist with LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell.
Audra Kelley is the Director of Public Relations at The Joel Bieber Firm. Before coming to wok at The Joel Bieber Firm she was the Marketing and Events Coordinator at Allen, Allen, Allen, & Allen, where she was responsible for sponsorships, attorney speaking engagements, special events, newsletter and the firm’s Academic Scholarship program. She has been a member of LMA for one year and is also in her first year of serving on the Board.
Technology and Communications Chair
Stephanie Simpson is the Marketing Events Coordinator at Williams Mullen. Prior to joining Williams Mullen in April 2014, Stephanie spent time at Challa Law Offices and McCandlish Holton. She has been a member of the Virginias chapter since 2013, and this is her first year serving on the Board.
