FAQs about the virtual 2020 LMA Annual Conference
Will the dates change for the 2020 LMA Annual Conference?
Yes, the fully virtual 2020 LMA Annual Conference will now be held over four days, from October 19 to 22. Conference sessions will begin at 9 a.m. Pacific / 11 a.m. Central / 12 p.m. Eastern to ensure that attendees from across multiple time zones can easily attend.

Do I need to re-register for the virtual conference?
No, all existing conference registrations will be automatically transferred to the virtual conference. Should you wish to update or change your conference registration, please contact customerservice@LMAconference.com or call 1-877-562-7172.
Over the coming weeks, we will be working diligently to manage the many critical steps needed to take the conference experience fully virtual. We appreciate your patience as we work hard to respond to all inquiries.
Will registrations fee be refunded?
Existing paid registrations will be automatically transferred to the virtual conference. We understand the virtual format is a change to your conference experience. Our goal is to create an immersive virtual event experience that brings together the LMA community for the invaluable education and networking that you expect from the annual conference.
In addition, paid, full-conference registrations that are transferred to the virtual conference will be entitled to a maximum of 2 (two) additional virtual registration passes to share the learning and experience among colleagues at your firm who are not already registered. You will receive an email to coordinate the details in the coming week with confirmation due back to us by Friday, August 21, but you can contact us at any time.
Anyone wishing to withdraw their investment in the 2020 LMA Annual Conference will have the following options until Friday, August 21:
- You may transfer your existing registration to the 2021 LMA Annual Conference (April 19-21, 2021)
- Cancellation and refund requests must be made via email to customerservice@LMAconference.com. Cancellation requests submitted before August 21, 2020 will be eligible for a full refund. No refunds will be issued after August 21, 2020.
If you wish to transfer or cancel your registration, please contact us at customerservice@LMAconference.com before August 21, 2020.
What if I am unable to attend virtually?
If you are unable to attend the virtual conference‚ you may designate a substitute to fill your spot. The registration fee may be adjusted based on the substitute’s LMA member status. Substitution requests must be made via email to customerservice@LMAconference.com no later than September 25, 2020. Late substitutions will be assessed a $50 administrative fee. There are no refunds for non-attendance.
What about flight and travel arrangements?
All attendees need to contact their own airlines/travel insurance companies to understand their policies and whether flights can be transferred and what penalty fees may apply.
What about hotel bookings?
Reservations made directly into the LMA block at the Gaylord Rockies will automatically be canceled in the coming weeks. No action on your part is required.
Reservations made outside of the block with the hotel or through a third party, like Expedia or Travelocity, are the responsibility of the delegate to cancel. If in doubt, please call the hotel to confirm your cancelation at 1-720-452-6900.
Will the event change now that it will be fully virtual?
In order to fit the expansive educational program into a virtual experience we will be rethinking and reimagining the original line-up of programming, and specifics will be available very soon. We remain committed to delivering a great event and will be reaching out to all speakers to review topics and session formats. New updated agenda details will be shared on the website, via email, within the LMA Weekly newsletter and via social media.
When will we receive more information on the virtual annual conference experience?
Over the coming weeks, we will be working with our partners to set up the virtual conference platform and ensure that you, as an attendee, have the best experience possible. Stay tuned for updates, sneak preview sessions and technical details in the coming weeks.
What if my schedule does not align to speak on the new virtual conference dates?
We will be in touch with all speakers via email to confirm the virtual format and new dates. We will make every effort to accommodate scheduling conflicts. What materials will I need to provide for my session now that it’s virtual?

Will sponsors/exhibitors be transferred to the virtual annual conference?
Yes, sponsors and exhibitors will be automatically transferred over to the new dates. Our team will reach out to you personally to confirm the transfer. How will my sponsorship benefits change with a virtual conference?
