Kay Kim serves as the Senior Director of Practice Innovation at Crowell & Moring LLP. The firm created this role for Kay to help set the firm’s strategy on innovation in legal service delivery. Kay helps the firm identify, implement and ensure adoption of technology and other innovative solutions to enhance practice performance and expand and deepen existing client relationships while enhancing the firm’s ability to compete effectively for new business. Recognizing that clients seek partnership beyond legal advice, Kay is devoted solely to innovative delivery of legal services with the ultimate goal of driving more value for our clients.
Prior to taking on this new role at the firm, Kay led a dynamic team of business development and practice management professionals supporting the firm’s practice groups and cross-practice departments/working groups. Kay has over 20 years of experience in the legal services industry in both attorney and non-attorney roles. She was a corporate attorney at DLA Piper in New York and then at Crowell & Moring in Washington, DC. She also served as in-house counsel at Direct Holdings Americas Inc. (formerly, Time Life Inc.) before returning to Crowell & Moring.
