The American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) is the only national association dedicated to the legal information profession and its professionals. In its 112th year, the 2019 AALL Annual Meeting will be held in Washington, DC, July 13-16, 2019, and will offer three days of must-have educational programming featuring more than 65 sessions in six content areas. Law Firm Media Professionals (LFMP) is a national association of in-house and outside media and marketing professionals dedicated to improving how they deliver public relations and communications services to the outstanding law firms they serve. LFMP was formed in New York City in 2002 by two in-house P.R. pros, Joshua M. Peck and Dara McQuillan. Legal P.R. people meet with others in the field, to discuss the issues and challenges unique to this area of legal marketing. The primary objective of the group is to provide members with a forum to exchange ideas, experiences and information with one another and with the press on a wide variety of communications and media issues. The group meetings are relatively informal, fully interactive and provide excellent educational and networking opportunities. Guest speakers to the group include lawyers, media specialists, and journalists from some of the most prestigious news affiliates in the world including the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Associated Press, Bloomberg News, and of course, ALM. Membership is free and includes access to job postings and other relevant information. See www.lfmp.org for more information.

The Legal Sales and Service Organization (LSSO) is the go-to organization for education, ideas and networking focused solely on legal sales and client service. We provide law firm business development and service professionals with the resources and strategies they and their teams need to achieve the highest levels of success. LSSO’s annual RainDance Conference is the key resource of the organization. The two-day conference (June 5 & 6, 2019), is filled with high-level interactive sessions, roundtables and lively discussions with industry thought leaders. RainDance offers less of the theory and more of the practical, effective sales and service strategies for attendees to bring back to their firm and implement immediately. With an intimate setting, you can expect open and honest dialogue among the attendees about the challenges they face in meeting the demands of the increasingly competitive and evolving industry. http://www.legalsales.org/
