Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs) have evolved dramatically in the past few years. This signals yet another shift in the dynamic between law departments and law firms. As clients demand more from their counsel, these documents have become the center of that exchange. This session will walk through various aspects of OCGs, looking to identify best practices and practical approaches. The session will include a law firm representative, one from the client-side and a moderator that spans both sides. It will explore how clients are developing their OCGs and how firms are managing the growing volume of them. This constructive dialog will provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the dynamic between firms and clients and paths to develop better outcomes for both sides.
