NY CMO SIG March Lunch Recap: The Leadership Factor: Management and Communications During a Crisis

Crisis management is a concept that has been elevated to front of mind status these days, no matter your business or industry.

On March 14 the CMO SIG brought together a terrific panel of veteran PR talent and management experience to help us understand the fundamentals of crisis management, and how to effectively work with firm leadership to mitigate problems.

Recent cyber security case studies served as the catalyst for the discussion led by Jamie Diaferia and Zach Olsen (of Infinite Global), and Deborah Farone (of Farone Advisors) who walked CMO attendees through not only why it is important to have a process in place, but to identify the internal resource best suited to help your crisis response be most effective. Taking the temperature of what firms have in place, the well-received presentation engendered a robust Q&A at the end.

Many thanks to our panelists for offering their insights, and to Mark Messing and Duane Morris for hosting a providing a delicious lunch.

The CMO SIG is comprised of NY City Group LMA members who are the most senior in-house marketing and business development leaders of law firms and other professional services firms. To learn more about the NY CMO SIG, contact its co-chairs, Dawn Longfield or Despina Kartson.
