Philadelphia LMA: Welcome to 2021

To my LMANE Philadelphia local group members:
Welcome to 2021! I am Alexis Madden, the local Chair and your go-to contact this year. I want to thank you for making 2020 a fantastic year despite the obvious challenges as we moved to virtual platforms. In 2021 we are all looking for connectivity and ways to replicate in-person interactivity in a virtual world. We will continue to offer high quality educational programming while also creating additional opportunities to connect. It is clear that after almost a year of the global pandemic, many of us are seeking paths for engagement while we are not together in-person.
I want to introduce our accomplished Philadelphia Local Steering Committee (LSC). We are here to hear you – to make sure your professional needs are met and your suggestions are heard. The LSC is the voice of our local group and is dedicated to implementing initiatives that meet the professional development goals for all of you. We have plans to continue providing innovative educational programming while creating alternative networking opportunities. I also encourage you all to join our Facebook group - LMA Philadelphia: Membership Forum – that serves as a dedicated channel exclusively for you, our local LMA members. Through this group, we aim to give you access to information as well as a platform and virtual community to talk through the issues we are all facing on a day-to-day basis as legal marketers.
As members, you each help drive the LMA’s mission of providing thought-provoking programs, networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities. Volunteering is a huge piece of making the LMA thrive. In 2021, my Vice Chair, Aubrie George, and I are committed to bolstering our volunteer ranks to ensure your diverse views, backgrounds, and expertise are represented. There are varying levels of involvement, from committee and SIG positions to leadership roles. I welcome every one of you to reach out to me if you are interested in getting more involved or learning more.

Finally, I want to remind you of our Philadelphia SIGs (Shared Interest Groups). If you are looking for ways to connect with members with common interests that join together to network, educate and share best practices, there may be a place for you in the SIGs. Click here to join.

  • The LMA Next SIG provides professional development and networking opportunities for law firm marketing professionals with fewer than ten years of experience at a law firm or agency.
  • The CMO SIG is a forum for those in a first chair role at a law firm to share ideas and discuss relevant topics.
  • The Solo/Small Team SIG is for in-house marketers at firms of fewer than 100 attorneys or with two or fewer marketing personnel.
