The Marketers of Summer

Like the Washington Nationals' rookie sensation, Stephen Strasburg, legal marketers are always looking to make the perfect pitch.  Just as the franchise player wisely went on the disabled list briefly this year to ensure his career's longevity, so too do LMA members know when to take some much needed R&R with friends. 
Responding to the recent membership survey in which members asked for more occasions to network with fellow colleagues face to face, the Capital Chapter had two fun-filled gatherings for the marketers of summer.
The first took place on June 23rd, the Capital Chapter held a member networking event at Fathom Creative Gallery + Rooftop offering attendees the chance to connect with one another.  The second event, the annual summer social was held at the W Hotel, Altitude Ballroom & Terrace, on August 12th.  The crazy thunderstorms that had plagued the DC area on and off all day couldn't rain out this extravaganza.
Treated like MVPs, members enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while talking a little shop.  "I go to LMA events because it gives me the opportunity to expand my professional network and bounce ideas off of colleagues," says Emily Townsend, Communications Coordinator of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.
