The Ronald McDonald Pop Tab Challenge of 2015

The Ronald McDonald House is our official LMASE Cares partner. As part of our efforts to support this organization, we're asking all City Groups to take part in the AMAZING Ronald McDonald Pop Tab Challenge of 2015. We'll award the City Group with the largest pop tab count and most creative collection photo with a $500 prize to go towards a party! That's right - a chance to win a PARTY, just for doing some great work for families in need.

Pop tabs are very easy to collect, store, and transport, especially compared to the entire can itself. The cost ranges as the price for aluminum fluctuates, from $.35 to $.85 per pound. RMH uses all of the money raised through pop tabs to offset the cost of RMH stays for families. Just $10 pays for one family for a night's stay.

Not to worry, if your City Group is on the smaller side we're pro-rating pop tab counts (per CG member count) to level the playing field!

Here's what you need to do to help your City Group win the AMAZING Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab Challenge of 2015:

  1. Encourage your City Group members to collect tabs at their firms and amongst friends/families.

  2. Submit your pop tab count (or how many pounds of tabs) and a picture with your City Group members to Stephanie Hinrichs at shinrichs@wcsr.com by August 28, 2015. The more creative you can get with your picture taking the better! Remember to only include City Group Members in your pictures - we cannot use the pictures if there are RMH patients or parents in them.

  3. Work with your local Ronald McDonald House to coordinate drop off of tabs in August.  Visit http://www.rmhc.org/chapter-search to find and contact your local house.

We will be announcing the City Group winner at the LMASE Conference in September during the Ronald McDonald House presentation. That's it! Easy peasy, right?! Right. Please help us to support this organization which helps so many families through a difficult time. Every pop tab (and LMASE member) counts!
