Call for Nominations for 2016 Board and Committees!

We face so many challenges in our daily professional roles. Fortunately, getting involved in an organization like LMA provides us with a tremendous bolster in terms of networking and collegial support, even more so when you are fortunate enough to build your involvement into a leadership role.  Which can also, of course, come with its own set of challenges…

The Officers and Board of LMA Philadelphia were faced with an interesting dilemma recently with the resignation of our President-Elect for 2016.

Having discussed this as a Board, and having convened a meeting of the Nominating Committee, it is the group’s recommendation that certain officers remain in their current positions for 2016. Those positions include the President, Past-President and Treasurer positions.

I support this, not only because I have wholeheartedly embraced my current role in the Chapter, but also because this will ensure continuity in our operations and growth during the transition of identifying a new individuals for leadership roles.

That being said, here’s one role you might consider: volunteering.

Here you will find a list of positions available for election or appointment in 2016. As a Chapter, we welcome involvement on all levels – from leading, to participating, to simply attending. Every role is critical, no matter how small, and here is your opportunity to consider expanding yours, should you have the interest.

Please click here, download and complete the nomination form, and return to me at jsharp@mavenagency.com by Friday, July 24th . The nominating committee will review all submissions and notifications of roles will be shared the first week in August.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me directly. I hope you will consider getting involved with LMA in 2016!

Sincerely,

Jessica Sharp President

LMA Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapter
