Education Sessions Announced for the P3 Conference

Hosted by the Client Value SIG, the P3 Conference offers education and discussion focused on the business aspects of developing a successful law practice, including the disciplines of project management, pricing, project management and process improvement. It brings together law firm pricing and LPM experts, practice managers, business development and marketing professionals, those in corporate law departments, corporate procurement professionals, and product and service providers.

The keynote speaker for this year's conference is Gerry Riskin.

Gerry is a Canadian lawyer and Business School graduate with a global reputation as an author, management consultant and pioneer in the field of professional firm economics and marketing.


With more than 20 sessions to choose from, P3 attendees will have the opportunity to learn practical insights regarding the full range of project management, pricing, project management and process improvement disciplines.

The Golden Path to Developing Budgets: Helping Attorneys Develop Budgets and AFAs
Presented by Peter Secor (Workshop / Interactive)
How many times have you heard “We do not have enough information” or “I do not even know where to begin” or how about the classic “I don’t have time for that.” In this interactive session the group will share methods and approaches they use help attorneys develop and manage budgets. We will also take it to the next step and share how we guide attorneys on AFA structures.


Teaching Partners How to Fish: Unlocking Sustainable Profit Improvement through Better Pricing
Presented by Pier D’Angelo
A unique feature of professional services firms is that partners wear three hats: producer, manager and owner.
