LMA continues to grow! As our 2014 president Tim Corcoran reported in his President’s Message column in the Jan/Feb issue of Strategies, “in 2013, LMA had the highest-ever attendance at the Annual Conference, and our membership grew by 11.5 percent to nearly 3,600 members, reflecting both our market’s emergence from economic turmoil and an increased appreciation for the value LMA provides to its members. We also saw the addition of a new SIG and LMA conference dedicated to pricing, project management and practice development, as well as multiple new members from this emerging growth segment. Regional conference attendance and member engagement were also largely improved, based on my personal observations around the country. But we must do more.”
As part of doing more, the board of directors has placed education as the top priority of the association for the last two years. As such, we are pleased to announce a new position at LMA headquarters: Director of Education. This critical position will expand our opportunities to provide more value for our members at both the chapter and international levels. Serving your educational needs to further your professional growth and development is a key strategy for LMA.
