St. Louis City Group Update

With a program scheduled every month for 2013, the St. Louis City Group has hit the ground running!  Using feedback from past LMA program surveys in order to pick speakers and topics, this year’s schedule provides programming for every career level and firm size.  We are also happy to offer one more “homegrown” program in 2013: “Professional Development for Legal Marketers” presented by Carolyn Sklar of Sklar & Associates.  This is in addition to the two homegrown programs already presented this year: “Best Practices in Event Sponsorships” by Bob Silvy of American City Business Journals and “CMO Roundtable: A Checklist for Making a Difference at Your Firm” by Anne Schuster of Thompson Coburn and Lou Ann Wilcox of Armstrong Teasdale (program recap included in this issue of In the Loop).

Additionally, the St. Louis City Group has established four committees this year in order to foster leadership and participation within our local organization.  Our new committee leaders are:

  • Barbara Brinkman, Director of Client Services – Armstrong Teasdale (Communications)

  • Bree Harms, Marketing and Recruiting Coordinator – Carmody MacDonald (Membership)

  • Lydia Pohlman Figueroa, Sales & Marketing Representative – PohlmanUSA (Sponsorship)

  • Jamie Windsor, Marketing Manager – Armstrong Teasdale (Events)

Our committee leaders have already taken on responsibilities within their given area and have been in contact with their respective Midwest chapter counterparts, where applicable.

Finally, our events chair, Jamie Windsor, has planned an upcoming member social on Wednesday, May 1st at BlackFinn American Grille.  In addition to re-connecting with old friends, we will use this opportunity to get to know our many new members.
