Core Skills Development: Using Websites for Marketing and Business Development

The overall theme of this session is approaches to web marketing.

Bryn Hughes, Marketing and Communications Manager at LexisNexis® Martindale-Hubbell® in the UK, will provide the initial context by sharing highlights from a Martindale-Hubbell research study "The Use of Websites in Law Firm Marketing". Thanks to a great response among LMA members, Canadian firms represented 18% of all respondents.

For the second part of the session, Bryn will be joined by Doug Jasinski, founder of Skunkworks Creative Group, who will share some best practices and tips on how web marketing can be used to support acquisition and retention programs.

Bryn Hughes

Prior to joining LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell in 2010, Bryn was Head of Marketing for a regional law practice in the South of England, where he established and grew a professional business development marketing function. He is now responsible for marketing and communications for martindale.com - a global international law directory - and helps law firms to understand how it can complement their marketing and business development efforts to grow their business.

Doug Jasinski

Doug is the founder and Principal of Skunkworks Creative Group Inc.Doug's role at the agency spans brand strategy development, conceptual creative work, copywriting, website, blog and search engine optimization strategy, assessment of new technologies and oversight of all projects and work produced by the agency.An experienced brand strategist and copywriter, Doug's past projects have ranged from law firm branding assignments to annual report creative for NASDAQ and TSX-listed corporations, and numerous campaigns for small businesses.
