Building Rainmakers:
How to Help Set Up the Next Generation for Success

April 25, 2019  | 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Presenter:
Stephanie R. Hanna, Esq., Founder & Owner, The Other 85

81% of entry-level associates leave law firms within five years; and associates’ top complaints are often related to receiving inadequate tools and training regarding business and professional development.

We’re all familiar with statistics like this. Legal marketers play an important role in supporting and developing attorneys in their first 10 years of practice. This session will focus on best practices to support attorneys in years 0-3, 3-6, and 6-10 to increase retention, help them thrive, and watch them grow into successful partners and, ultimately, future rainmakers.

Attendees will walk away with:

  • Techniques to support attorneys at various parts of their journeys, keeping in mind other common constraints they are often up against;
  • The five biggest networking mistakes associates make and how to combat them;
  • Tools to increase associate productivity and instill confidence in your attorneys;
  • Ways to help your associates communicate their brand and tell their story;
  • What it takes for associates to develop and maintain key relationships; and
  • Specific strategies to best help young attorneys navigate these critical years.
