About Our Speakers
Leigh honed her expertise over more than 15 years working in corporate communications, corporate giving, agency public relations, public affairs and political consulting. She has represented a variety of entities across sectors including legal, finance, fintech, health care, transportation, agriculture, government, manufacturing, consumer retail and restaurant industries.
Leigh is a graduate of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation “Leadership Denver” program and was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as an Outstanding Woman in Business in 2011. The team she built for Farm Credit was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America Colorado Chapter as "PR Team of the Year" in 2012. She has earned dozens of awards from industry organizations such as the Public Relations Society of America, the Business Marketing Association, the Cooperative Communicators Association, the National Agri-Marketing Association and more. She holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa.
Margaret is a seasoned marketing communications professional with a knack for strategy, planning, implementation, measurement and reporting of enterprise-level integrated communications programs. She has a proven track record of managing budgets large and small to deliver measurable results for clients in financial services, cooperatives, hospitality, government, health care and more. Margaret is passionate about finding creative solutions to complex communications challenges at the intersection of traditional and digital media. She is a dynamic and inspirational leader who has built a successful career by working collaboratively and breaking down silos at complex, decentralized organizations. Margaret served as the National Communications Director for the Farm Credit System, where she led an award-winning team, recognized as the Public Relations Society of America Colorado Chapter’s PR Team of the Year in 2012. She earned her Master of Science in Technical Communications Management from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from the University of Iowa.
