September 11, 2018 | 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Join us for a joint program with our colleagues in the Baltimore ALA on diversity from the client perspective. We will discuss how to support client demands for diversity and inclusion through D&I client programs and partnerships and thoughtful marketing and business development. Our discussion will include:
Client surveys and data
In 2016, the American Bar Association passed Resolution 113 which urges all providers of legal services to expand and create opportunities at all levels of responsibility for diverse attorneys. Major corporations, including Microsoft and HP, are implementing diversity requirements for their outside counsel and using data to hold law firms accountable. Learn how to design a data-driven D&I strategy and demonstrate measurable results on your D&I efforts.
D&I client programs and partnerships
Law firm professionals are uniquely suited to be strategic partners to help engage clients on D&I. Learn how to work closely with clients on innovative D&I initiatives to help build a more inclusive legal profession.
Intersection between D&I and business development
D&I plays an important role in the marketing and business development process. Learn how to promote D&I to foster productive teams, engage internal and external clients, and create enhanced business development programs.
