A law firm website should not be treated as an online brochure. It should be, or at least it can be, an exciting place for clients to learn new things, draw inspiration to take action toward goals, and serve as the first stop on a prospective client’s buyer’s journey. Done right, a law firm website can be the engine that drives a law firm’s growth.
This presentation will address important problems with which most law firms grapple. Even when they generate large amounts of traffic to their sites, firms don't have mechanisms in place to turn that traffic into leads. Even when the firm does have a means to capture leads, it does not have systems in place to continue the conversations with those leads in order to nurture them and create new business opportunities.
Attendees will be introduced to a five-step system that will allow them to create a lead-generating website that fuels business development. The system focuses on defining target clients and industries, optimizing website content, driving traffic, capturing leads, nurturing prospects along the buyer’s journey, and automating as many processes as possible, on a practice-area-by-practice area basis.

About Our Presenter
Jay Harrington is an attorney-turned-marketer who is the co-founder and owner of Harrington Communications, a legal marketing and creative services agency that serves law firms across the country with brand strategy, website design and development, content marketing, and other creative services. He is the author of two books, including One of a Kind Lawyer: A Proven Path to a Profitable Law Practice, and the recently released The Essential Associate: Step Up, Stand Out, and Rise to the Top as a Young Lawyer. Before starting his agency, Jay practiced law at Skadden in Chicago, Foley & Lardner in Detroit, and founded a boutique law firm in Detroit. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
