Welcome to the 2019 edition of our SIG’s 12 Days of Social and Digital Media. As the 2019-2020 co-chair of the Social & Digital Media SIG, I am thrilled to kick off the campaign this year. Our SIG is excited to bring you 12 days of contributions that give a nod to 2019, while looking ahead to 2020.
As we all know, social and digital media is a rapidly changing landscape. Firms of all sizes are approaching social media in a variety of ways, so there is always new and exciting information to share. From Facebook ads to internal engagement training, you're in for a treat with our 12 Days in 2019. Thank you to this year’s contributors, many of whom are past chairs of this SIG, for sharing their time, talent, and wisdom.
In addition to our 12 Days campaign, we hope you will join us on Thursday, December 19th for our final webinar program of the year, "Looking Ahead to 2020: What's to Come in Social & Digital Media." During this program, we will bring in three of our 12 Days contributors to discuss trends, accomplishments, and lessons learned.

WHAT IS ON THE LIST OF YOUR TOP PRIORITIES IN SOCIAL AND DIGITAL MEDIA FOR 2020?
Miller Nash Graham & Dunn is set to launch our new website in 2020, and with that will come great opportunity for a splash both digitally and on our social channels. I won’t give away too much of what’s to come, but we’re currently exploring different online campaigns, new ways to connect with our clients and colleagues, opportunities to highlight the great work our people do in the community, our diversity and inclusion initiatives, and more. The firm has so many great stories to tell—it is exciting to know that we'll share those in the coming year!
I also look forward to offering more training for our people in 2020. There is so much more to social media than just posting once and checking it off the list. Engagement from our attorneys and staff widens our reach and connects us with new people and opportunities—coming up with unique ways to approach this in the next year will be an exciting project for our team.
WHAT DIGITAL OR SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN/EFFORT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF AND WHY?
This effort is a behind-the-scenes accomplishment, but I am incredibly proud of how our team approaches our social media content creation and calendar. At the start of each week, an email is sent to the team with a schedule—events we have coming up, people spotlights, office activities, client shout-outs, etc. Because our social media plan focuses on more than just business development/marketing efforts, this conversation includes several departments (recruiting, office administrators, etc.) to ensure that we’re maximizing our social media presence and also staying mindful about the content we’re sharing and when. This effort has been extremely helpful in organizing our content and has resulted in our people proactively reaching out to us because they want to be featured on our social channels and/or sharing our content on their own channels. I look forward to expanding this effort in 2020, working with our stellar departments, and seeing more engagement from our people as the year goes on.
ABOUT MEGHAN SPRADLING
Meghan is the Marketing & Communications Manager at Miller Nash Graham & Dunn LLP, a regional law firm in the West. In her role, Meghan manages the firm's brand, social & digital media efforts, marketing collateral, advertisements, and more.
Since joining the Legal Marketing Association in 2012, Meghan has held several leadership positions locally and now co-chairs the Association's Social & Digital Media Shared Interest Group. She also regularly presents on business development, social media, law firm marketing, professional development, and brand management.
Meghan lives in Tacoma, Washington with her husband, daughter, and black lab, and enjoys Broadway musicals, Seattle sports (Go Hawks!), and exploring new areas in the PNW.
