The Legal Marketing Association strives to provide our current and potential members with the best educational resources and top programming and networking opportunities.
None of this is possible without the invaluable efforts of our volunteers.
We need you! If you have a desire to help LMA continue to connect and engage the Southwest Region, please complete the survey here, and a member of the Southwest Region Board will be in touch with next steps. Descriptions of each of the volunteer committees and opportunities can be found below.
The LMASW advocacy committee will focus on three distinct region-based programs – Your Honor Awards, the LMASW Next and Exec programs, and our mentor/mentee program. The committee will also focus on developing relationships between LMASW (on the regional and local level) and various bar, legal, and non-profit organizations.
The Communications and Technology committee provides the perfect space for members wishing to use different aspects of social media engagement, e-communications and marketing technology to inform those in the industry on local programming and opportunities within the organization.
Membership Engagement Committee
Collaborates with staff to establish programs for recruitment, renewal and retention of LMA members and initiatives designed to stimulate growth in all membership categories. Identifies and reviews ideas for new benefits and services for members. Provides support to the Region and members-at-large in all of these areas.
The heart of what we do, this committee works with the Programming Chair to develop and execute key programs for the year for the Region’s local groups.
Nothing is possible without the sponsors of LMA. These sponsors help us to offset the costs for programs and other social events, including the Region Conference. Members of the sponsorships committee are responsible for soliciting sponsors and keeping them abreast of upcoming opportunities within the Region.
LMASW Region Conference Committee
The LMASW Region Conference committee will plan and execute the Southwest Region’s 2019 conference - a two-day, workshop-driven conference held September 11-13, 2019 in Houston, Texas - while deepening relationships with colleagues from around the Southwest Region. Volunteer opportunities involve programming, sponsorships, marketing communications/technology and onsite logistics. The purpose of this conference is to provide immediately-effective management and leadership tools to attendees, with new ways to approach the management of highly-functioning teams and business development, marketing, and client relations functions.
