Coronavirus (COVID-19) Implications for LMA Midwest

Dear Members and Friends,

We are all confronted with the implications of the coronavirus as we—in our personal lives, and in our firms and businesses—work to figure out how to address in-person gatherings. We are acutely aware of the confirmed cases in some of our local markets, which have resulted in increased travel restrictions and other limitations for our members.

Your health, safety, and well-being are our top concerns. Our LMA Midwest leadership team continues to look to the WHO and the CDC with regard to decisions made about our in-person programming and social events. We are also staying abreast of changes to law firm policies with regard to any restrictions placed on our members.

At this time, there are no changes to LMA Midwest’s programming schedule. Any updates will be communicated via email, our LMA Midwest website, as well as on our social media channels (LinkedIn | Facebook | Twitter).

Our standard cancellation policy is in effect and varies by event. If you are no longer able to attend a program, please visit the LMA Midwest Events page for your event to review additional information on cancellation deadlines and policies. Please email events@lmamidwest.org with any questions on our policies or to cancel a registration.

Our LMA International leadership continues to monitor this important issue and its implications for the LMA Annual Conference. As LMA President Jill Huse said in her email earlier this week, the organization is weighing options and will communicate a final decision next week, if not sooner. Please watch your email for further updates or visit this page for additional details on the LMA Annual Conference.

Please reach out to me or any board member with any comments, questions, or concerns.
