LMA-The Virginias Chapter Wins Your Honor Award

Richmond, VA (April 1, 2008) – The Virginias Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association won a prestigious Your Honor Award with its newly launched membership-communications-services campaign, which featured a new logo, identity and collateral materials. The Chapter took second place in the Chapter category of the international organization’s 2008 competition.

The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) announced the winners at its annual conference on March 13, 2008 at the international conference in L.A. Twenty-two winning projects were selected from hundreds of Your Honor Awards entries. In total, 327 LMA members submitted entries.

The entire Virginias Chapter is excited to be recognized with the honor. Members worked hard on their submission, titled “Leaps and Bounds: Virginias Chapter Embraces Diversity, Realizes Gains.” In 2007, the Chapter worked to create a new logo and brochures; expanded their membership database with an emphasis on growing our chapter membership; created a new brand e-newsletter; and developed tailored events that gained immediate interest. As a result, the Chapter saw a 40% increase in their membership. “LMA National’s recognition of all of our members’ hard work is such an honor. We have a strong group of people, and it is our intent to continue to build upon this new foundation and expand the chapter even further,” says Amy Smith-Pike, President of the Virginias Chapter. “We are already working to provide new and exciting programs, and plan to expand our City Groups to the Roanoke, Virginia area.”

The LMA Virginias Chapter currently sponsors a Hampton Roads City Group for members who may not be able to travel to the Richmond metro area for programs. For more information and an event schedule for the LMA Virginias Chapter, please visit their website at www.lmavirginias.org.
