Carole Timberlake

Meet Carole Timberlake, the Chapter’s Immediate Past President. Thanks to Carole’s leadership in 2007, the Chapter set ambitious goals in growth, visibility and organization, and successfully brought those goals to fruition.

A 1994 graduate of UVA law school, Carole is a past president of the Metro Richmond Women's Bar Association and a pro bono committee member of the Richmond Bar Association. Carole is the professional development manager at Troutman Sanders in Richmond. She previously worked as the local bar association liaison for the Virginia State Bar, the director of marketing for The McCammon Group, and the senior marketing manager for Troutman Sanders.

Some of the Virginias Chapter’s 2007 Success Highlights include:

• Roll-out of The Virginias name change. Launch of new website on national platform.
  
• Creation of new chapter logo, masthead, membership materials, marketing folder and other collateral.
  
• Member Campaign initiative to identify firms, marketing staff and potential members.
  
• 20 new members joined the chapter -- 30% of all chapter members joined since December 2006.
  
• Creation of Hampton Roads City Group and Communications & Technology committee.
  
• 50% of all chapter members serve on the board or on a committee.
  
• Launch of electronic newsletter.
  
• Contract with CVent for program invitations and registration and database maintenance.
  
• Formalized new organization policies and standardized board procedures.
  
• Outstanding programs with new and varied formats including webinars and audioconferences.
