Leader Coaching Session

Event Type: Educational

Date: Nov 20, 2008 - Nov 20, 2008

Hosted By: Vancouver Chapter

As law firms begin to understand the benefits of forming “business units” to pursue business and manage internal resources, they are also realizing the value of strong leaders at the head of each of these business units.  Strong leaders require that first, those individuals create the “leader within” which involves the development of an internalized set of principles, values and attitudes.  Yet the skills required of a great leader are somewhat at odds with the skills required of a great lawyer; and leadership skills don’t happen over night.  They require practice.  So how do you rectify this gap without losing team members during a ramping up period?  Our speaker, Michael Fogel, is a lawyer, mediator, educator, leadership coach, former California municipal and superior court judge and a trainer of judges across Canada.  He will help attendees understand the basics of how to create effective leaders quickly, without alienating their teams during the process.

This session is ideal for senior marketers and for any level of leadership within a law firm – at practice group, client team or administrative levels.
