What Women (Lawyers) Want:The Naked Truth about Women in the Law

Join us for an important conversation about what women lawyers want and how law firms, corporations, and individual lawyers can collaborate to create a more dynamic workforce.

Are women lawyers succeeding at a greater rate than they were 10 years ago?  If not, why?  If so, what is making the difference?

What is the key to a woman's success in the practice of law?  What makes some women effective at assuming leadership positions, developing new business, and keeping existing clients?  Why do some find fulfilling careers within the law, while others struggle?  Are women lawyers different?  Or are the lessons we need to learn the ones male lawyers can teach us?

Join us for an important conversation about what women lawyers want and how law firms, corporations, and individual lawyers can collaborate to create a more dynamic workforce.  As a participant in this workshop-based program, you will receive research highlighting the roles women are playing in law firms, their participation in leadership positions, and best practices for business development.  Come prepared to engage in this important conversation—in small groups and large—with your peers as well as the experts.

At a follow-up session in July, entitled "Women Lawyers: Why Diversity is Good Business," we will discuss how women lawyers can benefit their law firms and how their firm's leadership and clients can support and leverage their success.  We hope you can join us then to collaborate with firm leaders on new ways to engender career satisfaction and fulfillment among women lawyers and, while we're at it, crank up that bottom line.

This event is part of a monthly educational series for LMA members as well as all others interested in expanding their knowledge of legal marketing – including individual lawyers; law firm administrators, recruiters and IT staff; law students; and consultants to clients in the professional services industry.

The program includes lunch.
