Sustainability. It’s a buzz word today, especially as it applies to the environment. What about how it applies to your career? Is it possible to have a sustainable career in legal marketing, a profession where the average job tenure is reported to be less than two years? Come learn from “lifers” what they wish they had known in the beginning, what they’ve learned the hard way, and what you can do now to build the kind of career you will want to last a lifetime.
Speakers for this event include:
Sara Kraeski, ten years as a practicing lawyer (and business developer) and six years as a legal marketer;
Leigh Ann Nicas, 21 years in professional services marketing, 19 of them with law firms;
Connie Proulx, 31 years as a legal marketer, legal administrator, and law librarian;
Lorri Salyards, 23 years as a legal administrator with marketing responsibilities; and
Facilitator Merrilyn Astin Tarlton, 25 years as a legal marketer and legal consultant.
Come prepared to ask the hard questions and to share thoughts from your own experiences.
The program includes lunch and will take place on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 500 16th Street, #150, Denver, Colorado. Cost is $40 (with a $10 discount for LMA members). To register, please visit the “events” section of our web site at www.rockymountainlma.com.
