Andrea Stimmel
Andrea K. Stimmel is the Business Development Director for Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, an international law firm with offices in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. Andrea served as president of LMA Metropolitan New York in 2007.  Prior to returning to an in-house role, Andrea created LawFirmBuilders LLC, a consulting firm, that assists law firms with their business plans, Web sites and marketing and communications programs.  Previously, Andrea led the marketing and business development functions for three prominent law firms: Blank Rome, Pennie & Edmonds and Clifford Chance, and two national accounting and consulting firms. Andrea has also spent a number of years as a freelance consultant working with smaller law, accounting and financial services firms on all aspects of their marketing and business development. Trained as an organizational psychologist, she has helped firms achieve results through organization-wide changes in culture. In addition to the LMA, Andrea has been active in the American Bar Association section on Law Practice Management and Women Rainmakers. She is a frequent contributor to legal publications on marketing and management issues and a speaker for the LMA and for the American Conference Institute.  She has received recognition for her innovative marketing programs, Web sites and internal communications as well as for her volunteer work. She received an M.A. in Organizational Psychology, with honors, from Columbia University, and a B.A., cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University.
