The Am Law 200, the annual ranking of the top U.S. law firms, has become the industry-standard for determining law firm revenues. Although this is the most visible of ALM’s annual lists and rankings, there is a great amount of information, published by ALM and others, that can provide critical information about the business of an individual law firm and about the industry generally. A key component of effective competitive intelligence is learning how to gather this information and how to best use it to your advantage.
