All law firms that we serve are contemplating, experiencing or avoiding growth.  Size matters to the firm, its people and its clients.  Still, bigger isn’t necessarily better. So firms are exploring:

·        How large or small do we as a firm need to be to sustain and build our current and future prospective business?.

·        Does growing the firm increase the value proposition?

·        Internal and external factors to consider

·        How will it change us? Who might we become?

·        Ways to grow:  Merger,  Lateral hires, lift outs (cherry picking practice groups from other firms)

·        What about organic growth? And if so, then through associates or partners or both?

·        How does growth affect our marketing and business development efforts?

·        Pitfalls to avoid in implementing a growth strategy

To gain a rounded perspective and learn how we can execute the marketing and business development components of the growth equation, we will be joined by a distinguished panel consisting of:

Panel:

·    Stephen Barrett, CMO, Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP

·    Michael DeCosta, Client Partner, Korn/Ferry International (in the firm's professional services practice)

·    Paul Tvetenstrand, Managing Partner, Thatcher Proffitt & Wood  LLP

·    Aileen Leventon, J.D., MBA of Q Lex Consulting (Moderator)

The session will be interactive.  Questions comments and alternative speeches are welcome. Come, learn how the decision makers think and bring those insights back to your colleagues.

Registration will begin on September 28
